So I had a good idea for a ISBI challenge twist. But I am in the middle of working on my own special challenge, the Cultracy. I loved the idea, but I need to focus right now.
So, I decided to open it up for a little friendly competition! I want to see my idea in action even if I am currently predisposed. That said
WELCOME TO THE BACKWARD ISBI CHALLENGE COMPETITION!
The concept: Your Torch Holder (TH) starts at elder and each generations starts a little younger!
Each generation will have its advantages and disadvantages but the hardest is the first and last gen.
This is a seven generation challenge.
Please join up and see if you can do it!
Please note: You will basically
need the Gift of Speech Baby Monitor to complete this challenge. While it is possible to do without it will be very difficult. Please read the rules page to understand.

The Competition Rules! You have to have those things.
Please read the Backward ISBI twist rules here first.

Depending on how many people sign up, the top one, three, or five people of each category will wind up with a spot at the winners circle.
If your family doesn't make it all the way through, your story will be moved to the graveyard. But if generation seven's torch holder makes it to the end, your story has crossed the finish line!
Your entry may be a story, or a simple recording of your results, but you must find some way or keeping us updated on your points and strategy.
You may record your proses on a forum page, or a blog site, or whatever else, but please not ONLY on this particular forum. Update this forum with a link or or note that you have updated, but this may not be your only place of recording.
Contest will run until all entered contestants have either crossed the finish line or are in the graveyard.
UPDATE TO THE RULES!
I have decided that if you FAIL the challenge, as long as no one has finished, you may start again.
The same applies to new contestants who want to join.
BASICALLY: Fresh starts are aloud until at least one contestant finishes.
Once someone has finished, no new trials make be attempted.

For Completed Stories
It wouldn't be a challenge if everyone won. Here's to the stories that didn't quite make it.
Highest Score
Though some of this is luck, it's still quite an accomplishment!
Lowest Score
Because, lets face it, the spectacular failures are way more fun to read!
Best Story
It's not all about the points. It's about how you get there.
Best Strategy
It takes a creative mind to overcome some challenges.
NOTE: The prizes will never go down, but they may go up, or new categories introduced if I can scrape together more simpoints.
200 simpoints for the leader in each category of the winners circle
Any changes to the rules will be noted here so they are noted.
Approved lifestates: Witches,Aliens and Ghosts as they have normal lifespans.
Plant sims are NOT okay, even though I previously said they were, because they skip a life-stage.
New Points
+10 Skill maxed
+5 Fulfilling a skill challenge
+15 Career maxed
Mod Rules
No mods with the following exceptions
-CC clothing, skin, eyes, hair, or otherwise CAS items that do not affect gameplay or lifespan are all fine
-CC items that are decorative, do not speed up skilling, effect lifespan, do not give collectables, plants, or food freely, or otherwise seem to have no true effect on the actual nature of the challenge are fine.
- Mods such as overwatch that serve the purpose of running the game smoothly are fine.
- The Masterconrtoller is a hit and miss, no using it to find spouses, skill up, or effect the challenge in those ways.
- IN GENERAL, IF YOU ARE ATTEMPTING TO USE A MOD AS "STRATEGY" TO HELP YOUR GAME IT IS A NO GO. OTHERWISE IT'S FINE.
- IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF A SPECIFIC MOD, PLEASE ASK.
Other rules
Sims who have children before it is time for them to take over can still be heir, but any children they have before the proper age can not take over for them.
Reminder: It is over when if Torch Holder dies so unfortunately the Oh My Ghost opportunity can not be used to save them. You may however use it for spouses.
You MUST roll the traits of sims you can not control but can choose if they are current torch holder. You may roll for everyone if you wish.
*If you are playing with a family trait, like insane, you can still choose to give this single trait to non TH children at the first opportunity.
Only ONE death flower per family. If it gets used up you may have no more but if a new TH takes over and it is still availible then you may pass it on.
For the Founder:
:!: Start with what traits you choose
-> While all traits are good in their own way for storytelling and/or uniqueness as far as the challenge goes there is no denying that some are far more useful than other.
-> Plan ahead on what methods you will use. There are different ways to do this and the ways you choose will affect your best trait choices.
-> Consider whether you will be specifically trying for extra points. There are traits that will help with that too.
:!: Think about your method
-> There are probably more than you realize; I myself have found several. If one isn't working for you, maybe it's time to find another.
:!: Look for 'free time'
-> It's true that these come with expansions so this will be dependent on what you have available to you. But when used wisely, this 'free time' can win the challenge for you.
:!: Choose your skills wisely
-> You only have so much time to skill, carefully consider which ones will help you in your tasks. There are some that are not so obvious as others.
:!: Choose your spouse wisely
-> While you may not have a lot of time to be too picky, remember her traits will be affecting how she acts when you can't control her.
-> Remember: the less time your Torch Holder spends cleaning up after his wife, the more time he has to spend working on his lifespan.
:!: Life rewards are your friend
-> So use them wisely.
If I may ask, what makes you unable? Is it the item?
(you can do without it but it might get hard/boring lol)
I am hoping for some feedback guys?
Best story is the most interesting story behind the pictures.
Best strategy is the most interesting or creative way(s) you successfully managed to keep the current torch holder alive until the inheritor's eligibility.
Though I must ask how would you like our stories/entries?
As mentioned before I have never done one would it be better compiled in a seperate thread for my story or is there anywere free I could do the story just as easily?
Thank you so much! I am glad to have a competitor. I wish I knew what the people who view this page but say nothing.
I still don't know how too keep this open...
I wonder if I should open simpoints...?
I need to make a siggy maybe...?
Aaaaaaah I am new to this. I hope it goes okay.
How long to run the contest?
How can I generate more interest?
What sounds good?
What sounds bad?
I thought since ISBIs seem popular right now this would get more comments...
