Even though I am not tech savvy I am far from inept when it comes to fiddling about with my computer, but I find that when I pay nearly £40.00 for a game that insists that I get one other EP for stuff in this EP to work or vice versa, that I should NEVER have problems AFTER the game is released.

This is unacceptable. I cannot understand how folks are happiest to be held to ransom by EA when we make them rich and not the other way around.

CC and MODS won't go away because EA content is trife to be honest and horribly made, so I refuse to give up all the things that enhances my game experience. EA needs to stop being so dismissive and fix these stupid quirks that frustrates us when trying to play the games.

I tried renaming my sims 3 folder and I did not understand why half the stuff was not showing up when I filtered for Jope CC items or all Living items. I just quit the folder renamed it Sims 3 again and went back in and there they were.

I hate the idea of me harming my game or computer by testing stuff out that I clearly do not get.

Anyways, I have the performance bar and no schedule, but then I never knew to click on the table at Meet n Greet day.

So I will try a new game and see if this issue crops up.

First off, this is NOT an EA bug. They are not responsible for creating it or fixing it and none of us are being held ransom by their ineptitude.

Second, the reason why renaming your folder cut all your content is because the game could no longer find it. That's the unchanged and unmodified state for which EA IS responsible, and this bug was almost certainly not there if you had looked.

Lastly, the problem isn't your CC, it is a mod you have in your Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages folder. Mods are third party and EA is not responsible for them, nor will they fix them. The mod creators will usually do so.

Every time a new EP comes out, modders have to update their mods to get them to work with the new version. It's always been this way and it is not EA's fault.

Now, don't rename your entire folder. Just move your mods out. If you can, go into mods/packages and get rid of any store fixes, nraas traveller, or anach's mods. They are the culprits people in this thread have identified. So if you have them and get rid of them, than you can keep your other mods. If saved at university, drop out and go back to clear the bug.

    Good luck.

I'm having this problem and I tried some things to solve this problems and nothing worked... So, can someone explain me how do I rename the user folder? My english is not great and I'm not sure I understood this. Or should I try to delete all my CC or my mods? PLEASE HELP ME I'M SO FRUSTRATED!!!:cry::cry:

    Yeah, sure.
In Windows, open your file explorer. Go to My Documents. In My Documents there will be folder named Electronic Arts; in that there will be one called The Sims 3.

First, in that folder look for Mods and then Packages. Look for any .simpacks that have storefixes in their names, and delete them (also possible is nraas_traveller and anything from Anach).

If you find and delete those files, start the game and see if it works. If you are already in University, you have to drop out and go back to your home world, then re-enroll before it will work. If you are in your home world again, than just enroll.

If you do not find these .simpacks in your packages folder, or you don't have one, do this:
Go to My Documents/Electronic Arts and click on The Sims 3 (don't open it, just select). Press F2 and change the name to something else (like The Sims 3 Backup).

When you start the game after doing this, you will have nothing. Your saves will be gone, your store content missing, your settings reset, and your mods gone. That's why you shouldn't do this unless you cannot find the mods that are causing this problem.

If you don't find the mods, and if renaming the folder fixes the problem, than post a list of every mod that you do have in your My Document/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages folder.

Takeing out the packages with storefixes in there name fixed it for me, Thanx :D

I had the same problem too. After I put my sim in a Sorority, her work tab was still there and instead of her simology tab, it said "travel time". If my sim left the sorority and came back, it would say "return to vacation home." It even had the return home option on her smart phone. This happened twice in a two day period and it frustrated me until I figured out that it was probably caused by certain Twallan's Mods. So I exited the game, deleted Traveler, Story Progression (and all of it's extensions), Careers (and it's homemaker extension), and the progression extension to Master Controller. After I created a new game, made my sim take the aptitude test and enrolled her to university, her worktab was finally replaced with the academic tab, with her schedule and progress bar.

I played it yesterday and she passed her first term exams.

I still have all my CC (Content from Sims Resource and some sims from the exchange), and the rest of Twallan's mods which I did not delete (like Woohooer, the Master Contoller basemod and cheats, Overwatch and error trap) and my game is working as it should be. I needed to delete Story progression anyway as it was causing my game to lag.

I had this same problem. But, I didn't try to fix it because my sim was having a great time at Uni. LOL. Even without classes she graduated with a B. She got a B the first time she went and an A the second time.

I had her increase the skills she needed for her major and that kept her performance bar full. She used the multi-tab to help with skill building. She was a fine arts major so she also did alot of street art and painting as well.

Next time, I send a sim back to Uni I will try to figure out how to get classes. I have a lot of NRAAS mods, so, I'm sure the problem has to do with the mods.

It's not NRAAS. Read my earlier posts...

So I only read up to page 9 of this forum so I'm not sure if this has been said...

But for me, resetting sim definitely brought back the progress bar, and removing the store fixes fixed the missing class schedule.
After I removed the store fixes I tried going back to a save where my sim was in University already, but it didn't work, so you'll have to go to a save file before they went to University for it to work (or maybe try dropping out and re-enrolling).

So I don't know if anyone has done this yet, there are too many posts to go through...

So I had the problem of no class schedule, but after reading someone's post, I realized it was because of the credits I received from the aptitude test. This made it so that the first semester of my sim was complete without any classes. In the Academics tab, it said that my semester was complete and not to forget to enroll for a new semester when I got home.

It was not because of any mods or hacks.

I really didn't want to wait and re-enroll, as I was only into day 2, and I didn't want to drop out and enroll again either. So I started to click on the different buildings on campus to try and find a solution...

    I found one!

What I did to resolve it was to make my sim go to the administration center on campus and "enroll in university"... I was able to add more credits, and voila! I instantly had a schedule!

This did not affect where she lived, the people she was living with, and she did not have to go home first!

Hope this helps some of you!

It's August now. Can anyone say whether there have been updates to store fixes that have fixed this issue? I'm experiencing this mess now but it's also the first time I've tried playing the University Life features since I downloaded storefixes for the first time over 2 months ago. This is rather aggravating.

I have tried to play University a few times and have the same issue. No class schedule. I've cleared my cache, reset my sim.. removed the mods/fixes. restarted the game.. Nothing works.

It won't even let me drop out of college. The truck comes and it just don't let me leave.. I end just back on the sidewalk. More than once.

Lame. I really want to play this and I can't. :?
