Just a few things to fix

First off, I'd just like to say if you want to insult EA or say that The Sims 3 sucks, go away. I don't want any flaming in my topic.

I got my Collector's Edition of The Sims 3 on Tuesday, same as a lot of other people. I personally love the game. I have, however, noticed a few problems.

1. The speed - As a lot of other people have mentioned, the speed is not very speedy. Speed 1 is fine, of course. Speed 2, 3 and 4 are all the exact same however. This could use a little fixing, because getting a good night's sleep in the Sim world takes about 10 minutes in the real world, which, for people like me, is too long. I don't feel like sitting here watching my Sim snore, not being able to do anything else.

2. Path finding - I have noticed that your Sim has a weird way of finding paths to things. At my Sim's house, I have a fenced area to the side, with a gate in the front and back of it. The front gate is just a few squares from the front door, but my Sim always decides to go all the way around the side and to the back gate, which takes a lot longer than it should. Another thing: when a Sim is blocking my Sim's path, they will both stop and stand there waiting for one or the other to move. This sometimes takes a while. Why can't they just simply walk around each other?

3. Getting into/on your car/bicycle - Why is it, when you go somewhere, your Sim walks out the front door, past their car/bicycle, and proceeds to the curb, your car/bicycle miraculously appears in the road, and then your Sim miraculously appears in/on your car/bicycle? I know this is a game, but it needs to be a bit more realistic than this.

4. Driving/Riding on the roads - Have you ever been riding down the street on your bicycle when all of the sudden a car decides to come up behind you and then somehow disappears then reappears in front of you? If you look closely, that car is going through you, somehow. The same thing happens with cars. Not very realistic at all. The cars need to slow down or go around Sims on bicycles, and you need to slow down or go around cars that are going too slow.

Edit: 5. Making food - When you tell your Sim to fix a meal for themselves, it's usually because they are hungry, but when they finish fixing the meal, they often set it down and walk off. If they're hungry, why do they ignore the food they just made? If they make the food, they should eat it.

As of now, that's all that I can think of. Remember, if you want to insult EA or The Sims 3, just leave, I don't want to hear it. This the Ideas & Feedback section of the forums, not the Rants.
