Is there any way to get the designers to create more clothes and hair for men?

I mostly play with male sims and it's kind of noticeable that most of the clothes and hair is aimed at female sims. Especially since I really don't like my sims wearing hats.
And what about trenchcoats for men. In the ads you see male detectives in trenchcoats, but when will I be able to dress my male sims up in long coats. And I'm not talking about the sci fi/steampunk ones. I'm talking a regular long trenchcoat. I was hoping to get one in seasons, but well no such luck.
I just really want to make a Sim Spike, or Castiel, and both those guys plain out need long trench coats to look right *pouts*

They'd make content based off what sells.
So they know (for example) that the creation of worlds is selling like hotcakes, so they make more worlds.
They know premium content things sell,
they know womens hairdo's sell.
I have no proof, but I expect if you looked at statistics of hairdo's selling from the 'mens' vs 'womens' sides of the sims store, even per item the womens seriously outnumber the men (aka it's not selling more because there IS more)
