Seasons causing Macs to crash. Let's find a common denominator.

Since installing Seasons (like many of you), my game has started to crash. A lot.
I'm a member of the Simblr Community on Tumblr and there are 2 Mac users on there that are playing Seasons with no problems whatsoever. So I think we need (as a group) to find out what could be causing these issues with Seasons/the 1.42 patch.

The 1.42 patch didn't give me any problems, but Seasons does.
My Specs are as follows:
Mid-2011 iMac
2.8GHz Intel Core i7 Quad Core
AMD Radeon 6770m 512 MB
12 GB RAM
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5

I have tried reinstalling the entire game, playing without cc and even playing in a different Neighbourhood. The same thing happens no matter what.
So, if you'd like, please post your Mac specs here and maybe we can come up with a solution. :)

Path 1.42 worked great on my Mac, but once I installed seasons with it, thats when it started going down hill. Im on a new 27" iMac computer and with about 5-10 minutes of gameplay, it just crashes:

    Specs are as follow

    Processor:2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB
    Software: OS X 10.8.2

Idk what we should do, this is the best expansion out, yet Macs cant play it.

No problems with Patch 1.42 for me either. My game would crash, but I could get up to 2 hours of game play without a problem.

    12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
    AMD RadeonHD 6770M 512MB

Anyone know simmers who have been having success with Season on Macs? It might be helpful to find what those simmers have in common as well.

My Game crashes after 5-10 minutes of play with Seasons too. I save almost every time I do an action in an effort to maximize my play while I have the silly thing running!!

    My specs are as follows:

    Late 2009 iMac
Processor 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB

Just now I was able to play for two hours with no crashing, but I got an error code 12 so didn't get to save at the end. Before playing I downloaded the latest software update on my mac, not sure if that did anything but it didn't crash today.

The game plays for 30-45 minutes, when I am in build mode go in and out of the game to save at least twice. After going into the game the it would freeze and the next thing you know I am looking at the Leopard on my desk top. I am starting to wonder if it is b/c I don't have Mountain Lion installed. After I installed the patch my game has been horrible. I am working with:

    Late 2007 IMAC Desktop
Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory 3 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics ATI, Radeon HD 2600 Pro
Software Mac OS X Snow Leopard

Mid 2011 iMac 27", Mac OS 10.7.3, Processor 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB, AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB, VRAM (Total): 2048 MB, Chipset Model: AMD Radeon HD 6970M Running Lion 10.7.4.

I've got every expansion and stuff pack, plus quite a lot of store content. I really struggled to get the game running at all last night, but I changed my settings and now I can play for 30 - 40 mins at a time. Not great but better than nothing.

    These are my specs.

Oh I'm also trying overwatch to see if that helps.

No problem with 1.42 patch, crashes within a few minutes after Seasons install. No CC, removed all store content, and deleted caches, didn't help. Specs:

    iMac 27"
Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
    2.93 GHz Intel Core i7
    16GB 1333 MHz DDR3
    ATI Radeon HD 5750

I have mountain lion but I don't have seasons yet. I'll be getting it on the 20th of this month ( so 5 days from today). It seems like of course the only posts we are getting is people who are having issues with the game. I would love to see some people who don't have issues with the game on a mac.

I'm running on Mountain Lion, but I used the super-patch, after endless trouble after 5 minutes of play or any time at all in CAS.

    No CC, No Mods, either.

My Sims keeps crashing on Supernatural with 1.42 installed (as I haven't had Seasons arrive yet)

Mac Mini (Late 2012) - Mountain Lion OSX - 10.8.2
    2.6GHz (Turbo Boosts to 3.6GHz) i7 QUAD-CORE Processor (64-Bit)
    4GB RAM 1600MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 (512MB VRAM)
    6MB L3 Cache
    1TB Hard Drive (5400 RPM)

I know my graphics card isn't compatible but it isn't exactly a low spec one. And some people in this post are saying the Intel HD Graphics 3000 worked fine before the update to Seasons. Please EA fix something.

I started having trouble trying to upload lots to the exchange within the last 2 weeks. No idea why. I have no CC and no mods, only stuff from EA. I did a complete uninstall and reinstall in order of when EPs and SPs came out on Wed. It took me ALL day. I put Seasons on last and was dying to try it. But if it started at all, it only stayed on for about 5 minutes before crashing. I wasn't even doing anything, just letting the sim do what she wanted and crash. I finally uninstalled just Season's and it's still a little glitchy. I'm hoping for a patch or something before I try to reinstall.

I can't remember the year I got my imac, but it's specs are:

Processor: 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory: 4GB 1333MHz DDR3
    Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6970M
    VRAM 1024MB
    Software: OS X 10.6.8

I'm having trouble as well- I currently have ambitions, generations, late night, pets, outdoor living and supernatural installed. I upgraded to the lastest patch (still waiting on Seasons) and whenever I go into CAS (on the stylist career so it happens a lot!), after about 2 minutes, the game will crash. This only started happening after I installed the latest patch 1.42. I'm hoping seasons will help once it's installed???

    My specs:
Mac Pro OS X (mid 2010 series)
Processor: 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Memory: 11 GB 1066 MHz DDR3
    Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5770
    8 MB L3 Cache
    1TB Hard Drive (5400 RPM)
    version 10.6.8

    No CC, No Mods

Before I got the game I read about a lot of people having problems, so before I installed it I followed the instructions on this thread: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/608998.page I also got the super-patch, and updated my game. I removed all of my CC and mods, and my game is great! Played for a couple of hours before I stopped (of my own will). I play on a 2009 MacBook Pro with snow leopard.
