Clouds, where are the clouds?

I'm assuming that this is just a glitch... I really hope it is, anyway! But I had a thunderstorm in the world I was playing and clouds never formed, not even when it was thundering...





It really takes away from making it look and feel like a rain storm. Anybody else dealing with this?

I think I might have found the issue in my game. This may not - probably not - does not apply to the rest of you, but a while ago I downloaded an little stone object from MTS that allowed you to set the time, and it also took the snow and rain effects of the fog emitter, and also allowed to set the level of clouds in the sky.

It just dawned on me that maybe that might cause a conflict for some reason, so I removed it and now the sky is overcast like it should be.

OH! I used that mod then literally the day after, Seasons was announced. I've been playing mod free ever since.

I've run into that same glitch in my game as well. but also there's a bug when it was hailing it was still bright outside at midnight :?:

I'm having the same issue... this is honestly the first time I've had a issue with Sims 3...

O.o Where are my clouds and how do I get them back??

I'm assuming it may be mod related since some people seem to have this issue, and others do not. It could also have something to do with graphics settings, or nomosiac hacks, since those are known for messing with new effects when they haven't been updated.

XD Ahahahaha... Sadly, Decensor by Twallan, was getting rid of the clouds in the sky...

XD I took it out and my clouds came back...

I had the same at night. It was clear with stars and a thunderstorm started. I took a picture and will post later.

Yea but I don't have any mods and I'm having the same issue.

This is not mod related. It's a "bug" ever since pets or earlier.


What you gotta' do is to just save the game or exit out to the main menu if just having started, then go into the save file again, and clouds will come. Same when travelling abroad, then I always have to first save, go out to main menu and back in for the clouds to appear.

Then I took out decensor and BAM... XD The clouds are back... LOL

Maybe both then? I just know I can be cloudless and solve it this way, and I'm _always_ cloudless when having travelled abroad. So perhaps it's the same thing, or an extra thing, or a completely other thing? xD Either way it migh thelp some people perhaps...



...and I only have that thing unlocking the Showtime stage items and overwatch. Though this "cloudlessness" was waaaaaaay before having tried any mod at all.

I have this issue too and I don't have decensor....I do have overwatch and storyprogression.
