    wonder if this was possible?

      turistas9 it's definitely possible :D
      If you go to Mod the Sims' CAW forum they have info on openning installed worlds in CAW.
      I've followed the tuts & open quite a few worlds.
      They also have height maps of Game worlds.

      Locat did that a long time ago - also here is his latest update on it. I think you will like what he has done with Riverview. He also did a few complete remakes of Sunset Valley that are excellent as well. Enjoy.
