I don't have a GameData Folder? Please help!!

I'm trying to make custom poses and every tutorial says to open the Fullbuild0 package with s3pe, but I can't find it! It's supposed to be in GameData->Shared->Packages but I don't have any of those :( I've searched my entire computer for it and I can't find it anywhere!! Please help me, I'm so confused.. :cry:

    Are you sure that you're checking the right location?

    32-Bit Windows:

    "C: / Program Files / Electronic Arts / The Sims 3 / GameData / Shared / Packages"

    64-Bit Windows:

    "C: / Program Files (x86) / Electronic Arts / The Sims 3 / GameData / Shared / Packages"

    Are you sure you're looking in the Program files and not under Documents? Had to ask. :wink:

    I have also had the no game data problem, but I did end up looking in program files (x86) and I found the EA folder,however, I only had the EADM folder which is completely empty, and the sims3 pets folder and the sims3 supernatural. I did not have any of the components in the folder that I needed to even install or find the proper things for making a machinima D: HELP

    I have a problem.. I'm trying to get my world file and followed the instructions above. C program files (×86) electronic arts and guess what? I only have CAW tool folder. No sims 3 folder at all.. now what?

    @Shelterdog4
    It would be program files(x86) origin games --- The sims 3.
    Unless you have installed with steam, then I'm not sure.
    The folks on this thread haven't been seen since 2013 so might be waiting a long time for answer.
    Your best bet would be to create a thread over in the technical forums: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/categories/bugs-issues

    @Shelterdog4 - Another way to look at it is that if you did not have the proper TS3 install somewhere in Program Files (x86), then the game is not actually installed and neither it nor CAW will run. I'm sure that's not the case and yes, Origin will put the installed files under Origin Games. Steam will put it under Steam > steamapps > common but regardless of where it is, it's the same structure underneath.

    This thread will probably get locked up for being quite stale. If you need further assistance while you still have New Member status and cannot start your own threads, this is a good place to post:

    It should then be noted that CAW will not run on a Steam install unless some Windows Registry changes are applied to get CAW to recognize where the install is if that is meant to be part of the process here. But perhaps you have already taken care of those or it's what you are now attempting to do.

    Unless it's the case that you purchased through Steam but installed through Origin, then disregard the above as it wouldn't be relevant.
