It is what it is. I personally don't mind it. I'm getting it for the weather & aliens. My sims will swim in the ocean but I honestly couldn't care less if it was exclusive.

It has been in the game since Sims 1. You can see it in Sims 3 as well.

okay just remember, it is a trailer. it is not reprentative of all actual gameplay. i dnt think u can actually see the hot air balloon while playing. (i mean while u arent in edit town or map view)

Simguru Sarah says sims will be able to swim under the waterfall in Sunlit Tides but that will also apply to other worlds not just the new one. Our sims will be able to swim under waterfalls assuming the waterfall isn't on a lot.

They'll be able to swim under the one in China.

As for the age talk, I am 23 as well. I physically feel old (I have a bunch of medical issues i've had since birth) but mentally I am still a teenager. I know i'm not old but occasionally feel like it...but there is no such thing as too old to play the sims! And as ya said, age is nothing but a number anyway. :)

haha I don't think I'm too old for TS3, just sometimes I feel too old to be talking on here since it is filled with teenagers. I feel inappropriate and creepy!

 I was wondering before if it was just me that felt that way sometimes! I've felt that way before as well. Before SN was realeased I wasn't on the forums often, now I stalk all info for SN and Seasons thanks to PEPS. lol

True. I just normally feel old on the forums sometimes, not so much creepy but old.

Yay! :D Thank you for taking the time to compile all this info in one thread! It's very helpful and nice!

you're never to old to play a game or to argue with people about it.,

so happy for sn and season, when sn comes out I have to wait for 2 months for seasons. so I'm stuck with peps for more than 2,5 months.

Sims standing next to the pool can get wet if a Sim jumps from the diving board.

I'm very happy, cause I saw the board in action today at the Gamescom closed door presentation.

They also showed us supernaturals on the rollerskating rink which looked hilarious. Other than that, I think is very pre-beta. They did not show us much more but confirmed that you can't drown in the ocean and it seems they didn't even consider updating any store stuff to outwear.

    They might now.

Outerwear is more for winter and fall, you won't really have summer outerwear.

All I can think of atm. I'll be doing a report in my blog when I'm back home.

Hey! First of all, I appreciate the work that YOU do for us simmers. Thanks for the comments and some new facts.

Secondly, I look forward to your blog post. Hope you're having fun. :)

Well, there is a chance that the Store team and the producers don't talk to each other. Ben Bell was rather surprised about the idea when I asked about it but I do think he got my question right.

There might be new stuff coming but the old one won't be updated (although he did thank me for my input)

Cool more ways to have my sims to have fun, but the only downside is it's bad news for my surfer dudes and girls witch means no surfboards :( .

    bump

Pill: Can you ask the devs about this? This is a wacky idea for a way to add sports features to the game. As an example, take playing soccer in summer.

Would it be possible to watch sims play a non-interactive version of a FIFA soccer game when they visit the stadium? This would allow us to watch our sims play in a real FIFA soccer game--or any EA sport game for that matter like Madden NFL etc.

    Way this would work:

    1. dress you sim up in a soccer uniform and send them to the stadium. The uniform they wear is from a set of several predesignated FIFA uniforms in CAS.

    2. while your sim is hibernating inside the stadium, a video screen would open up (similar to the one that pops up when your sim enters a horse race at the equestrian center). Except this window would show a prerecorded FIFA game in progress just like in the pic below:

    fifa_13_soccer.png

    3. your sim would replace one of the soccer player skins in the actual FIFA game. For example, if your sim is wearing sim a blue soccer uniform, then once your sim is inside the stadium, their CAS skin would replace one of the blue team players. Just like the guy playing the ball in the picture.

4.You wouldn't be able to contol or interact with your sim while the game is being played, since it's an actual pre recorded FIFA match. You can only watch the match from the popup screen window. Watching a video game of an actual match kinda beats staring at the popups from the rabbithole I guess. :?

    5. After about 1-2 sim hours, the FIFA match would end in a win/loss for your sim team. The video window would close and your sim would exit the stadium in their blue soccer uniform. They would have an appropriate win/loss moodlet depending on the outcome of the game. The game outcome would depend on the outcome of that FIFA match.

    6. The nice feature about this is besides removing the boredom of rabbithole watching, there's the possiblity of simmers uploading & sharing video clips of EA sports to the exchange. This would let other simmers download the clips into their game to watch. So this feature would also add some randomness and variety to the gameplay. For those who hate watching sports, they would have the option to shut this feature off and default to the regular rabbithole popup feature.

Don't know how--or if--its even possible to do this. Because it would require marrying FIFA & TS3 platforms in a non interactive video minigame.

They're also completed the soccer feature so it's too late for the release. But is something like this a possiblity in a later update? If so, then other sports could work like Madden NFL etc. It would be great to use those CAS athletic uniforms that came with the Mobile T promotion :-) This could be a big addition to the overall gameplay.

haha nice ideas but a pretty big stretch for a small feature like soccer.

    Parasols? Oh, yay!
I'm so excited for this EP. With this and Supernatural, it finally seems as though EA is getting things right!
