i have some what the same problem it wont let me create a sim it like takes all night and day

As you know, my game takes REALLY short to create a Sim ,it ONLY takes 5 seconds or 1 minute.For the loading, my game takes 8 minutes to load!!!Thank God, mine loads REALLY fast!!!How about your game?? :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

It has alterady been stated that you have to use the *latest expansion/stuff pack released*, not the latest installed. The order of expansion/stuff pack releases is:

is there a way to change the disc that the game wants because my friend gave me island paradise to install and then took it home so i dont have that game disc... i only have the late night and supernatural game discs... :?: :!: :?
Anyone help? I just recently installed sims 3 island paradise and supernatural and neither will come up on game launcher, I have a mac. And I tried to download a patch but I needed winzip though it said it was for mac. Did I waste hundreds of dollars on these stupid ******* games or does someone have a soloution?

I have World adventures, supernatural, and university installed. They all worked fine until a tried to install Island Paradise. the game wouldn't install. The little window popped up and said it was a successful install. But when I started up the launcher, it wouldn't let me play Island Paradise! Instead, it kept asking me to put university life into the disc slot. I looked online and most of the other people told me to uninstall Island Paradise and update my game. So I did, and now it asks me to put in world adventures, which definitely isn't the most recent of my games. when I Install Island paradise, it asks for university and I can play every expansion pack but Island paradise. When I uninstall island paradise, It asks for World Adventures and I can only play world adventures. The Uninstaller won't let me uninstall world adventures though. WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!?! Thanks for your help.
It still won't let me play my game it just says showtime....when i try to play generations or adventures..... :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: I have had so much trouble with Sims... I am very angry and disappointed with Sims!
The lastest game release disc is always the one you have to use. You will still be playing with all your Late Night content and saved games.
I have The Sims Into The Future and I want to play Island Paradise so i put in the disk and it said No disk found please insert Into The Future. So I put in Into The Future and i go on the island paradise town and later on it will say "A mysterious portal has apeared so it still has the same storyline as into the future so it means i cant run a resort or anything like that!! Help me
I can't believe the game has been out for over 4 years and people still have this problem. Whatever the latest EP or SP released is that you own, is the one you have to launch from. Playing with that disk does not make the other stuff disappear, it's still installed and is still there. Sims 2 was the same way.
If you aren't sure, look the games up on wikipedia, it has a full list of the order they were released in.

Yes, it's one game. You start the game from the most recent release disk that you have installed.
If you buy Into the Future, you will always start the game with that disk because it's the final release of the Sims 3 series.

If you would read the posts, you would see that this is how it's supposed to be. The answer to your "malfunction" has already been stated.
Do yourself a favor and at least read the posts before crying for help. :? Sometimes, you can find more info than you had thought about asking at the time.

:? Use the Generations icon - don't you still have that option when you open Origins?
This is the problem I have with DLing EPs/SPs - I love my disks (no confusion). I'm not sure what's going to happen when they stop supporting the game. I hope there is still some way for you guys to use your game.
