Steam & Origin Problems

Hey guys,

I have TS3 on Steam AND Origin, and I have 2 EP's on Steam (Ambitions and Generations) and 1 on Origin (Late Night). I really want to move Late Night to Steam without buying it all over again, because already I own it, and I have NO IDEA how to do that. Can someone please help me? (I've already asked Steam Support, so don't tell me to do that.)

Thanks,
~FiveLeafClover7

    Hi,

Please note that Steam and non-Steam versions of The Sims 3 games cannot be combined together. The games must all be Steam digital download versions, the games must all be disc versions, or the games must be a combination of disc and Origin digital download versions. The following EA Support article may be of interest to you:

Why can I not install any expansions to my Steam version of The Sims 3?

If using a PC, you may be able to transfer your Steam Sims 3 game registration codes over to Origin and redeem Origin digital download games. For more details please refer to the following EA Support article:

How do I activate a digital download for my The Sims 3 game?

The latest version of the Origin download manager can be downloaded from the following link:

Wait-- so can I transfer my Steam stuff to Orgin then? Or will I have to have LN on 1 game and Ambitions and Generations on another?

Yes, if you have the registration codes (CD keys, whatever) from the steam installation, you can register them on origin and get the Origin digital download version.

I believe you will have to uninstall the steam expansions, and reinstall the origin downloads, for them to work. but once you do that, you should be able to play all expansions on the same version of the base game.

    Thanks.

But I'm sorta a noob at this stuff-- how do I separate the EP's on Steam?
