I've resurrected Barnacle Bill himself from the Barnicale Bay cemetery to start a "Founding Family" for my hood.
His skin is the color of all the pirates I've raised from the cemeteries there. The only things I've changed are: added a tattoo to his chest, fixed his clothes - (he woke up in some really weird items!) and aged him down from elder. Otherwise he's exactly as he rose up from Davy Jones Locker.
You know what is fun? Using the subways to connect the main island to the lighthouse and the off beach island. You can also use dive wells and teleportation pads.
How do you use a dive well to connect to a different lot?
Is it just the names? I've used them within the same lot, but never tried different ones.
It works the same way. They are not lot centric. You can place them in any lot on the world map. just make sure you name them. Also you can do the same with drill holes, subways too.

Cool. I've done the subway to the small islands trick before, just never tried it with dive wells. Hmm, now to make a secret passageway from one of my mansions to Smuggler's Beach.
And speaking of Subway Stations, if you go to the little island off the coast and put a 10x10 community lot with a Subway Station, you can travel to the island. Put a little Beach down by the cove, and you can go picnic. I haven't tried making a house and living there yet. I don't know if the lack of roads would mess things up.

Depends on what you put in there. I transformed that island into a fantasy land spot with all fantasy builds. Paths that sort of lead from one build to another but no real roads or connected paths. Hid a lot of it with "forests" of normal and fantasy trees. Just right for hobbits, elves and such.

@ qnoftheamazon,
I had my klepto sim go to the graveyard and steal his tombstone. I waited for the "Oh My Ghost" opportunity at the Science Lab & had her take the tombstone there, where they made him a playable ghost and added him to my family.
Then I had my sim make him Ambrosia, which brought him back to life. I had her do that for all the pirates in the graveyard that didn't already have family on Barnacle Bay. For some reason, all the pirates have that greenish skin.
Other sims I brought back (Like Lolita Goth) have normal skin. I guess it's a Pirate thing!
You don't necessarily have to wait for the Oh My Ghost opportunity. If you make a dish of Ambrosia and leave it out, the ghosts will frequently eat it on their own anyway.
A lot of the revivified ghosts in Twinbrook have a green skin tint too, so it's not just pirates.
Thanks for the Ambrosia tip - waiting for that opportunity is a pain!
I've resurrected ghosts in every hood except HS (I don't have LL), but in my game, the only ones with this skin are the Barnacle Bay Pirates. My Twinbrook ghosts came back with regular skin.
I read in another forum that the store hood ghosts all come back with a different skin, but I don't know if that's true. I should do a HS sim and a BB non-pirate ghost to see what I get.
4 BDR - 2 1/2 Bath - 2 car garage - Colonial Saltbox style. Overlooking the ocean cliffs, this house is in a prime location to catch the sea breeze. Master Bedroom, nursery, child's room, study, unfinished basement. No CC. Designed for Barnacle Bay @ 12 Porthilly View.
This house replaces The Captain's Cubbyhole, Jasmine Noon's house. Evict Jasmine and move her to a new lot before replacing the house, as there seem to be gameplay problems with deleting pre-made EA sims (see first page).
I made over 2 lots and created a third way back when BB was new, using BB content. I named the consignment shop "Swap yer B.O.O.T.Y." but the site took it as swearing and changed the last word to all astericks. Now it looks like it's something dirty! Lol!
I've uploaded new improved versions of the Barnacle Bi-Valve and Barnacle Bi-kini duplexes that actually work as apartments, even for games w/o Late Night. If you ever get around to updating the links posts, please change them to
I know this is on hold but if you have a 50x50 empty lot, I would suggest downloading this lot. It's a working aquarium. Figured it would look good in Barnacle Bay!
I know this thread is on hold, but it took me 2 weeks to figure out my lot wasn't uploading and get it to work! lol
I wanted to post it now so I don't forget about it.
This is my BB Consignment Shop, Buried Treasures
It has no CC. It does contain store and most likely EP and SP content.

Welcome to the:
Hello there simmers,
In the past 2 years since Barnacle Bay has been released, we have been given new worlds far better than Barnacle Bay. Barnacle Bay is now losing its residents as they moved and traveled to Hidden Springs and also flew with the crew to Lunar Lakes. Barnacle Bay wants to grab more attention for tourists and wants to become a new attraction as a world itself and it needs YOUR help.
This thread will gather and obtain all player creations to help renovate Barnacle Bay with anything released from the Expansion Packs, Stuff Packs, and the Sims 3 Store. So many ideas can be created from below:
- Help create new homes or redecorate outdated ones to help Barnacle Bay increase its revenue.
- Create new neighbors, and pets if you would like to make the world welcoming.
- Create new venues and attractions to make this island a true tropical resort.
- Create new stories and background for your choice of remakes/creations/etc.
What is allowed:
- Expansion Pack Content
- Stuff Pack Content
- Store Content
- Custom Content <---- Please state if your lot has CC or not
What is preferred:
- Download Links from the Sims 3 Exchange, but if you use mediafire or another source, please take note of the risks and it's strongly recommended for anyone to download off the exchange more than 3rd party sites.
- Please keep use of images and pictures to a maximum of 5 pictures per creation. Any more would strongly recommend using a slideshow.
I will be uploading many lots of Barnacle Bay for you guys to use, should the occasion rise that you do not own Barnacle Bay. That way anyone can participate ^_^
I hope this thread will be successful much like my Lunar Lakes thread and I hope you all get your creative juices flowing!

I just wanted to say this was a cool idea. Nice work.
I saw in another forum that NewEgg.com is selling Barnacle Bay for $5. Someone else said they thought there was an expiration date on those codes, but I don't know if that's true.
If that is the case, I'm sure NewEgg will refund your money - they're a very reputable company.
I bought one for a friend in April, and she had no problem with hers.
Jillyson_Twozaks_1, I would love to see pics of the inside of your Hoist Yer Colors Laundrymat. Would it be possible for you to upload them to one of the photo hosts...such as a Photobucket free account?

I didn't know you could raise sims from the dead. How do you do that? I want to see what will come up LOL.
Fun for the whole family! Bar, wedding arch, pool table, arcade machines, chess, dominoes, trampoline, driving range. Bring the pets too.

I added a Showtime stage to Hogan's Deep Sea Diner, and now it's a Coffeehouse. Tested it, and it works both ways.

Wow, very nice. Where did those roof and wall patterns come from? The store sun & surf (or whatever) collection?
I just wanted to say this was a cool idea. Nice work.
I will pick this thread back up in a week or so. But in the meantime, you can still post whatever you want to submit and I'll update ever so often.
I'll be updating the front page later tonight.

Just wanted to pass that along.

For your Lunar Lakes town, take a cruise on the SS Landlocked. Enjoy the ocean fishing and the swaying of the palm trees while you picnic.

I'm also working on a Memories of Lucky Palms, on and off. Probably done sometime next week.
