Well, I Don't Think That's Correctly Selling/Sledgehammering

Hi,
I was using the sledgehammer in build mode, and it was working perfectly fine. I needed some more money though so I could buy my Sim an easel, and that's when "selling" was not gaining me money...it was making me lose money!
This has never happened before. I was wondering if anyone knew why it was doing this and any way I could fix it? Thanks!
p.s- One of my male adult sims has a disappearing torso whenever I zoom out. He is not wearing any cc. He has on Late Night hair, Base Game shoes, ShowTime pants, and an unlockable Generations top. Any help is greatly appreciated.
