Hi all,
I am looking for someone to make me a sim. Why? Well, I am working on writing a period novel/novella and I am having a hard time envisioning my main character. I figured the best way for me to create a mental picture of her would be to have her created as a sim, but I am no good at creating, so I am asking the community for help.
But not for free, of course. I realize that creating something good takes time and energy. So whoever's sim I end up using for the basis of my novel/novella, I will gift you something off of your wishlist (or of your choice) that is worth up to 1,000 simpoints. Second place will receive something worth up to 500 points.
I do have a couple of criteria, though:
1. Must be a female Caucasian Young Adult sim.
2. Body weight must be relatively thin.
3. She must have long, blonde hair, blue eyes, and a beauty mark under one of her eyes.
The rest is up to you, however I will provide a bit of background information on her in case this helps with fleshing her out.
Her name is Amelia Grace Baker, born in May of 1894. She was born in California, became an orphan at age 5, and then was adopted by her extremely wealthy aunt and uncle who live in New York City. The story starts when she is 17 years old and has just 'graduated' from a prestigious finishing school in Switzerland. As far as personality goes, she is rather intelligent and loves to read, write, paint, and dance (ballet). But she also has an adventurous/daredevil/mischievous/tomboy side to her and likes to defy her aunt/uncle and society from time to time.
I think that should be a sufficient amount of information, but if you want more, please don't hesitate to ask.
Deadline is June 15, 2012 with a MINIMUM of ten entries. If I have less than ten entries on June 15, I will extend the deadline date until the minimum entries is met.
Custom Content is welcome and encouraged, but if you use it, please provide links to what you use so I can download it into my game. I would also STRONGLY PREFER if you upload the sim to a website other than the Exchange (mediafire, 4shared, etc). When you submit your entry, please include at least one picture of the sim. You DO NOT need to have her wearing period clothing, clothing of today works just fine.
If I choose your sim, not only will I gift you something worth up to 1,000 points, but I can send you updates to my story so you can read about the character you fleshed out if you so wish.

The minimum amount of entrants has been met, so the deadline will remain June 15th. More people are welcome to participate, so please keep the entrants coming!

The CC I am going to use should download with her, so is it okay if I just make a generic list of the CC used (such as CC: dress, blouse, heels?)
I have a lot of CC and I never kept track as to where it came from, so I hope that is okay!

P.S. I hope it will get attention here in the Modeling thread, but if not, you could try moving it to the Gifting Forum. Create a Sim/house/etc threads tend to get a lot of participants there, and especially as you are offering such a generous prize, I think it would get a lot of them!

Yeah, that's fine if you just generalize. Most sims I have downloaded that contain CC, the CC usually transfers. The most important things obviously would be hair, skin, eyes, makeup etc. Clothes don't matter as much if they don't transfer. Hope that helps.
And yeah, I wasn't entirely sure where to put this thread. I was debating between here, Creative Corner, GD, and Gift Giving. If it doesn't generate a lot of responses here I will try posting it again in the gift-giving forum.

Erm, well one of the things I did not mention in her brief bio above is that she is also a lover of fashion, so I'm thinking something classy-chic. Like, I wouldn't envision her everyday outfit to include jeans or anything laid-back. But honestly, the clothing doesn't matter all that much to me, I'm concentrating most on her hair, eyes, facial features, etc.

Yay! Hmm, okie dokie, I'll think about her outfit. Because I downloaded this really cute piece of clothing cc and I really want to use it. Just not sure if it would fit her personality. Does it matter what traits I give her?
Nah, cause I don't really plan to use her in my game except maybe to take some pictures with pose player to look at and envision while I'm writing my story. But if you want to give her traits that align with her personality, be my guest!

Finally, I won't be judging her based on her attire. Her genetic makeup and hair are what I'll be scrutinizing the most. This is just for those that wish to take that extra step.

When you submit your entry I would like to see at least one picture of her and I would like to have a link to download her. You can upload her to the Exchange, but I would prefer if you didn't. There are other sites you can use to upload Sims 3 content (such as mediafire or 4shared) that are safe and easy to use. If you'd like, I can walk you through how to use them.
That's perfectly fine! Deadline isn't until June 15th, so you have pretty much an entire month to submit your entry.
