Strange Freezing?

Okay, so this problem just started today, and yes, I do have some custom content included in my game. So whenever I try to play my game everything runs smoothly, except for when my Sim decides to execute some kind of action (Ex. Going to the bathroom, Watching TV, etc.) then my screen completely freezes and I have to do the "alt ctrl delete" trick to get to the desktop again. After I do that I receive a message that says "The Sims 3 has stopped working". So then I am forced to close down the application. Does anyone know what the cause of this could be?
