What am I doing wrong when uploading?

I have tried countless and at various times, for the past week, to upload a lot to the Exchange, with no success. Two weeks previous, I had the same issue over a period of a fortnight and did a complete uninstall and reinstall, whereupon I was able to upload four new homes to the Exchange. Now, two weeks after the uninstall/reinstall I am having difficulties AGAIN uploading a lot to the Exchange. It either shows in the Launcher as having uploaded but nothing appears in my Studio or a get the "system error" message with a red circle and a line through it. The steps I take when uploading are as follows:-
1. Click on home I want to upload from Edit Town mode (wait for message saying upload successful open launcher etc);
2. Save game then quit Sims3 entirely;
3. Open Launcher and go to Exports, then click "Upload".
Am I doing it correctly or am I missing a step?
NB. Yes, I run Mods and have CC. However, after the uninstall/reinstall two weeks ago, those four homes uploaded no problem at all with my Mods and CC all installed.
