    Just started a vanilla game...

    ...and now I need to re-download and install all of my store content, which is going to take forever.

    Would anyone like to keep me company while I do this? What have your sims been up to? Any pictures or funny stories? :)

      I moved my sims to new house and it worth more money than their old one

      I created a new family yesterday and built them a house.

      Hi sly...wow, you're so brave. :lol: When you get the chance, let me know how you do that.

      I played sims 2 last night. I was going to get Dirk Dreamer's grades up and send him to college, so in the meantime, my sim, Brooke who's engaged to Darren, she and Darren go to the art gallery and who's there? Why it's Casssandra Creep, who's got the hot's for Darren. So she flirts up Darren and Brooke has a cow...really. She snaps, argues with Darren and with no help from me, slaps him around a little. :shock: To make a long story short, she refuses to sleep with him in the same bed, sleeps on the couch a couple of nights and I take pity on her and move her to another little house. I thought she was ready to break it off, but then she and Darren make up and they're engaged again...so much fun. :mrgreen: I kept saying, Oh no, oh no. :lol: I forgot that in the sims 2, when they get mad, they stay mad for awhile. :lol:
      In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.

      Yeah, I am basically starting over. I must have downloaded some bad CC because when I went into my game earlier this afternoon the user interface was completely missing. So instead of trying to figure out what it was I am just starting over. I'm going to put my Twallan mods back in but that's it. I have religiously stayed away from CC because of issues like this, but I saw a sim on the exchange that I just couldn't resist, and now after downloading him, this happened. :?

      Awesome. How far into the game have you gotten? Are him and his daughters doing well?

      i trapped the altos in my sims basement so that they would die and my sims could move into their house

      Yes!! I was playing Sims 2 for the past few days, but felt like playing Sims 3 again, so I loaded up my game today and my user interface was gone. :(

      The last time I played my game it was fine, and the only thing I did to my game since then was download a sim from the exchange, so I must have got bad CC from him or something. So I'm just starting over.

      All I did was delete all the files and folders in my Sims 3 folder (in My Documents) and then started up the game...this forces the game to create new files and folders. So basically it's like you just did a clean install without the hassle of uninstalling and reinstalling all of the discs. I'm definitely going to put my Twallan mods back in because I know they weren't causing the issue (and I can't play Sims 3 without them), but nothing else. I've always stayed away from CC for reasons like this, but that one moment of weakness screwed me over. So no more downloading anything 3rd party for me. :lol:

      Gotta love the spontaneity of The Sims 2!

      Awesome. I love not using cheats, it makes the game so much more fun and rewarding. But sometimes I get lazy. :XD:

      I've done something similar before. I started a fire in their house and killed them all, then moved my sims in. I didn't play that save for very long, though. :lol:

      Ouch- I hate waiting for things to download. That's how I felt while downloading Showtime off of Steam. x_x Usually when I'm bored and waiting for the sims, I look through my screenshots of my main family and reminisce. They're pretty crazy, but I love them all to pieces. My 4th generation couple ended up having 11 kids once I switched them to a modified epic lifespan. I'm thinking about bumping them back down to normal lifespan... Gotta let go sometime. I get too attached :(

      This thread won't let me post! I've tried twice now and I get Liam :evil:

      I made some sims and I adore them. Not played much with them, I might just use them for pictures and videos if I ever get round to it.
