If they had done what EVERYONE WAS ASKING and threw that daggone Simporting GARBAGE in the GARBAGE,none of this would have happened. Then they spilled a new EP leak in on top of it, and ever since it's been nothing but problems. :evil: This is why my game is still at 1.29--I KNEW Showtime was gonna be a problem, and I refused to stick around to be a guinea pig. EA, you all really need to fix this WHOLE issue ASAP, cuz last time I read the forums people were throwing out their games.... :shock: You're not just effing around with our games--you're effing around with people's computers, and more importantly: their money. :thumbdown:

After installing the latest patch 1.33... my game now crashes after loading a game or even starting a new game within 60 seconds of playing.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling based on your blog and spent all day uninstalling and reinstalling all my expx only to try it again with my cc turned off (only have store items but loads of it) and started a new game... created new sims purchased home and before they could even go inside to check out their new home ... boom crash desktop again.
It was playing on the 1.32xxx patch .. a little slow and glitchy but it was playing, but not anymore ... I hope they find a solution soon. I am heartbroken as I had finished all my stamps for my acrobat in her passport and just started on my singer and now they are all gone!!
At least you guys can play for a bit, as soon as I patched my game, I got an error message, "Sims3Launcher has stopped working" immediately after clicking the icon.
Hey, I have the exact same problem. I've been messing around with stuff and I can play sims 3 updated but I can't get to the launcher...does anyone know what to do with this? Really would help.
Also where can I find this 1.29 super patcher thing? A link would be VERY helpful
If you still see issues also add the exe-files from the add-on. They look like this: ts3EPxx.exe and can be found in the bin directories of the EP.
Any Downloaded games are in the folder Origin Games instead of Electronic Arts.
Make sure to restart your Computer after every file you add to make sure it stays added.
@vannahbabii07: If you don't have ST, you can reinstall the base game (not sure about the EPs), clean your registry and then get the super patch for 1.29 over at MTS

Good morning Crinrict. Yes I did DEP and just now I remembered I used to have to open the exec file with cff explorer to tell it my 4gb comp can hand 2gb (have not needed to do this for the last 4 exp/sp) so I tried it just now ... but no this did not work either.
I can finally play.. or at least I just did for about 10 minutes and decided to save and come give you an update.
I rechecked my DEP files and after counting I should have had 12 (I have 11 DVDs + the TS3W exe file=12), but I found I was missing 2. so I deleted them all and re-did them again, hit apply, restarted computer... started my game and after 2 minutes it froze... so I deleted my old game and starte a new one and so far so good. (knock on wood!)

OOPss - sorry I guess I spoke too soon. It is now crashing to desktop again. I can play about 15 minutes then it crashes.
I'm not sure what's going on with mine. I haven't had any crashes or game play problems, the patch just doesn't seem to want to take. I pull up the launcher and get a notice of a new patch. I download the patch, which seems to take forever. It does its thing, the launcher comes up and.... i get a notice of a new patch.
lather. rinse. repeat.
I can decline downloading the new patch and just play the game, with a notice that I do not have the latest version of the game when I start. Ignore that and I can play without any troubles.
This morning I power up, pull up the launcher and... get notice of a new patch. download it and let it run. pull up the launcher again. another notice. It's just not taking.
I wandered into the in game downloads list the other day out of idle curiosity and noticed that there were a few pages of objects that were allegedly "not" installed. Including Hidden Springs - which I am currently playing, so I have reason to believe it jolly well IS installed.....
Anyway, to humour the stupid game I spent an hour or so "installing" the content -and lo - some new objects turned up in my game that I hadn't even noticed were missing. Very strange. Some things were already in the game despite being officially not installed according to the ingame screen, and some things weren't. Is there any logic to this game I ask myself.
The more I read about Sims 3 glitches the less I want to buy any EPs....
ChelleyBean - Welcome to the forums. It may be your anti virus stopping the download from finalizing. On Vista and Win 7 the patch almost finishes downloading and in the task bar there is a windows that does not auto open and needs to be clicked to continue the patch process. If your doing 3 other things it is not always obvious and quite easy to overlook.

I do not work for EA nor do I have any association with EA. I am a gamer helping other gamers.
Before patch 1.33 came out, I snarfed a 1.32 incremental patch. I have no problems with my game so far; and after reading about all the problems with it (here and at other sites), I have no intention of installing 1.33.
Patch 1.33 is also the third patch in three weeks. Seriously, EA, why don't you get your fixes right the first time?!?

i totally agree. Im so sick and tired of my game having problems and being worried something will go wrong everytime i "try " to play.
Hello, crincict. I have a question to ask: I installed Patch 1.31 via my copy of Showtime (the Katy Perry Collector's Edition one) and as I was browsing through the Technical Discussions board I stumbled on this thread.
I read your link post from your site about the Showtime disc having the Super Patcher of 1.31. I couldn't remember if my Collections showed Showtime's since I only get to play last Sunday right after I installed my disc (I'll reconfirm this as soon as possible once I get back to playing). I was planning to update my game to 1.32 and 1.33 last night after I downloaded the 1.32 incremental and the 1.33 Super Patcher but thank goodness I read your thread while I was at work so I canceled.
I also read from the post ellacharm3d at MTS made about updating to 1.33 from 1.31 using the incremental update. I was about to use the Super Patcher for 1.33 when I read on the patch archive that the 1.33 Super Patcher works from 1.31 incremental, otherwise may have issues.
Does this mean that I'll update my base game from 1.31 Super Patcher from the Showtime disc to 1.33 using the 1.33 from 1.31 incremental patch?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post but I just wanna make sure that I update my base game properly and not resort to a full un-installation and re-installation if ever an error happens.

since the new patch 1.3 my game freezes in CAS or "create a household" Game play was fine. Until I wanted to plan my sims outfits. Then blue screen, as if its entering cas and it freezes there...
After I installed the patch my game appeared as a bunch of glitch black and blue blocks. I also installed the windows 8 Consumer preview (stupidly) at around the same time so I didn't know which one caused the issue. So I undid the patch and ran TS3 in compatibility mode for windows 7, and it was fine. So I re-downloaded the patch, and it didn't work. Windows 8 isn't causing my problems, the patch is. So I just will keep my game where it is until they release a patch for this patch. grr.
I'm currently on Patch level 1.32 and I always patch incrementally. I heard those lots of problems in the Super Patch for 1.33.
Right now, there is no incremental patch for people who are are on the patch level 1.32. I have no idea what to do. I don't want reinstall to get the Showtime Collection if I do use the SuperPatcher.
Not sure if this is were I should post but w/e. Sense the patch has any one else had it seem like there is a few hair styles missing, or when your sim showers their hair changes to one that is way off from what you set it to. Or if your game had that minor freezing problem, and now its way worse and makes your game crash.

Since GEN the file ts3w.exe needs to be added.

Right now, there is no incremental patch for people who are are on the patch level 1.32. I have no idea what to do. I don't want reinstall to get the Showtime Collection if I do use the SuperPatcher.
Does anyone have any advice for me?
