    Sims 3 Achievement Checklist

    I am an achievement-enjoying gamer. It's one of the things that I like about the console game platforms. I can get little bonuses (purely emotional usually) from reaching certain goals that the developers chose to set. I really liked having these in Spore, and these sorts of things tend to extend the life of sandbox type games like the Sims. There are many of these things built into Sims 3 already, but no central way of tracking them. As I've been working on my Legacy Challenge family, I got the idea to make a checklist for myself and then decided to be obsessive and make one to share with the community.

    The list below includes all of achievements that I believe to be built into the Sims 3, as well as a few others (like having a ghost baby) that I thought were goal-worthy. The goals are intended to be achieved without cheating (other than the various building cheats), but it's your game so play it however you like. I will probably add to it as I discover more things. I even included a point total so that people can compare if they want. (And maybe next time EA will build an achievement system into the game.) I also have this in MS Word and PDF format with pretty little checkboxes, but I haven't found a good place to share those from so I'm just including it in plain text for now within the post.

    Feedback and suggestions for additions are welcome!

      Oh wow. I've done:

      lvl 10 in political, journalsim and music:rock.
      Reach level three in grocery store clerk and both spa jobs.
      Become a "celebrity"
      Become a "Plumber"
      Become a rock Star, Star News Anchor and Leader of the free world.

      Wow, that is a long list! I never relized there were sooo many things to achive! lol.

      meh... not interested in "official" achievements at all, and even if they were available, I'd ignore them...

      Great list! I bookmarked this. I have a Sim who's been staying at adult-stage indefinitely thanks to Ambrosia. He is trying to reach level ten of each career. So far he's done Culinary, Journalism, Professional Sports, Medical, Military, Music - Rock, Music - Symphonic and Science. He's working on Criminal now so he's passed halfway there! Not sure what skill achievements he's gotten. I know he's gotten a bunch but I haven't been keeping track of that. I'll have to go through the list and figure out exactly how close he is to completing all of these. He still has 2 paint skill points to go to have mastered all skills. He has had triplets and I think twins. I don't think he's been the boyfriend of ten Sims as he's not much of a dater but he is a four-time widower (and currently on wife #5.)

      Ok, I'm working on completing as many achievements from the checklist as possible on one Sim. Below is my list. I checked off what he's completed. I need to look through his skill journals because I'm not sure what ones he's gotten for body, handiness, painting or logic. I'm also not sure how to know about certain things like how far he's gotten on collecting. Anyone know how to keep track of the collecting achievements? I also cant figure out which plants my Sim is missing. His skill diary shows which plants he's grown but how do you tell what ones he has yet to grow?

      I've probably done a few of those there, but the one that caught my attention was fulfilling all athletic skill journal challenges with one sim, which I managed to do. The whole 'lifespan increasing' thing when jogging was full of it though, since he died at 89 days. :?

      I haven't done much in the way of collecting yet. (I'm planning on spending more time on it next generation as I won't be as focused on making money.) However, the Sims 3 Wiki is a good reference, and what I used for help on the collections part of my list. Link here: http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Collecting_%28The_Sims_3%29

      if you are missing the master planter skill challenge, then you prob are missing some or all of cheeseplant, eggplant, steakplant, burger patty plant, and/or omni plant. they are achieved by completing gardening opportunities that randomly come up starting at rank 8 gardening skill.

      uncommonly good(rank 8 allows it to come up): deliver 20 excellent or better fruits/vegetables to (either bistro or diner)-lets you plant cheese and eggs for cheeseplants and eggplants.

      outstandingly rare(rank 9 skill and uncommonly good completed to have it come up): deliver 10 excellent or better cheese to (either bistro or diner)- allows planting of steak and burger patties

      The omnificent plant(rank 10 and outstandingly rare opportunity completed): deliver 10 outstanding or better steaks to (either the bistro or diner)- gives an amount of random quality omni plant seeds and the ability to order more omni plant seeds from the mailbox

      i got the master planter skill challenge complete after i grew an omni plant to maturity :)


      ive done a bunch of these different challenges but i like to garden too much to have done more of them lol :)

      This is great, thanks.

      Hope you don't mind me suggesting: you could also add "Use Ambrosia to transform a ghost Sim into a Human Sim" (or something along those lines). I noticed you had "resurrect a Sim", which I guess is from the Science Lab but thought this would be a good suggestion.

      Just a note: I have tried to use Ambrosia to transform my ghost Sim but it didn't work (I had lost the headstone when the game first came out) but have seen footage of this being done (on YouTube).

      Ive made a similar type list myself, except mines on paper and Ive actually written down all the metals, bugs, plants, etc to be found/grown. Lol. We are very similar Simmers!

      How do you become a grand master in chess? my chile simmie has mastered the logic skill and i invite the next chess ranked chess player and my sim ALWAYS loses :(
