We are aware of a game installation issue for digital download purchases of The Sims™ 3 Showtime. Customers who purchased the game after 1:00 PM PST on Friday, March 9th may see a screen displaying a “404 – File Not Found” error when trying to install the game. The Sims 3 team is urgently working to correct this problem with a new update to The Sims 3 Showtime. When this update is complete, the game update notes will be posted at http://www.thesims3.com/game/patches and you will then be able install your game. The next time you launch The Sims 3 Showtime, you’ll be asked to update to the latest version. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience for those that may have been affected by this issue.
Update:
As of about midnight PST on Friday night/Saturday morning, all players who have recently downloaded digital versions of The Sims 3 expansion packs should be able to install, update, and play. Thank you for your patience!
