Is it safe to do this?

I got a new laptop for the holidays and I've been working on transferring stuff over the past few months, and now I've finally gotten around to TS3. :)

I want to know if I'm able to just copy and paste all my CC (except mods, those I'll re-do), downloads, saves, downloads, etc. into their folders on my new laptop. Is that safe? Or should I just re-download everything? :/ Everything is post-pets, so the update isn't an issue.

Thanks!

By the way, I've been gone for a couple months... any major updates (except for new SP and EP)? :P

Just copy the Sims 3 folder and paste it on your desktop then ether get a disc or a memory stick to put it on. Its called backing up your Sims. Hope this helps. :-) Oh and once you put it on the new computer just replace the folder with the one you backed up..

    Edit: Bah, so many typos.

    The entire folder? O_O Seriously?

I'm not sure if my USB has enough room, but I'll try it.

    Thanks! :D
