Update: 3-19-12
I figured I would mention a bit more about the tombs.
The Temple of Poseidon originally had a spiral staircase, but it wouldnt work consistently, so I swapped it out for an elevator. It works properly, but lost some esthetics.
The museum needs a key for the treasure. Its out there.
Be careful if/when you reach Olympus. There is a room that gives you a choice. Make the correct one or you could get trapped.
The tombs themselves may be done in any order, except Olympus. When you get there, you will know why.
There is a large quantity of nectar to be found in the tombs. If you dont want your sim to be ridiculously rich, just drink it.
Some parts of some tombs appear impossible to complete. I guarantee there is a way to everything available.
Any questions/hints, just let me know.

Due to an unfortunate accident, my working CAW version of this world was lost. But it was just after I had exported it for final playtesting.
But it seems to run fine and I dont see any glaring errors. I did want to touch-up the painting and add a few more trees, but if you squint, it all looks good.
Another small problem I was intending to fix, was its richness. The tomb system is a bit too rich. Most of the treasures are nectar, so if you think its too rich, just have your sims drink it!
Update: 2-21-12
Tomb playtesting is completed. Everything runs properly.
Tomb Notes:
There are many tombs to explore. Ive taken a sim and ran through all the tombs several times. Knowing where everything is, and how to get through, I kept times of how long it takes to do the tombs.
Temple of Aphrodite - 6 hours
Temple of Apollo - 12 hours
Temple of Poseidon - 8 hours
Temple of Diana - 11 hours
Temple of Zeus - 3 hours
Nectary - 4 hours
There are many tricks, traps, and surprises. Many traps take some patience to get through. Be sure to bring provisions for extended exploring. There are very few spots to rest, and food is rare.
This is a project just started.

Looks good!
Anyway, it looks great so far!
Well, ok, at the time I had just worked for about 12 hours on my New York project, and had a CAW crash. Over 100 new lots lost.
So in frustration, I uploaded a previously made map, and the site said I was over-loaded. Then I went and deleted 200 screenshots and almost every sim I ever uploaded and tried again. That world successfully uploaded, then vanished. I still dont know where it went.
I then decided to quit CAW. I havent touched it in a couple weeks.
So the other day, I thought of making one-last-world. A city/town divided by a mountain range. I got started on it, and liked how it was turning out. I then received a kind invitation to join a friendly competition on making a Greek-based world.
Well, I could instantly envision a greek setting for this world, so no-brainer.
Anyways, I plan about 120 lots, several extensive tombs, and a Base Camp for use as a destination.
Good luck - I will be routing for you!
This would be #23 on the exchange. Plus I have several worlds I have no intention of uploading.
Here are a couple more pics showing my attempts a making Greek Temples.

I am having trouble with the general architecture. Here is a pub and 2 homes.

Great Start!
I love the temples!
Tips from a Greek :
you can use plenty of olive trees, Eucalyptus (if you have pets) azaleas, daisies, hyndrageas, willows, buckhorns, heather, bougainvilleas, oaks, and lime trees and I see you've already used cypress trees. (do not forget to fill your graveyard with Cypress trees as for some reason i'm not familiar with -never asked really- we fill our cemetaries with those)
I would suggest a more yelowish green (or even brown) if you are aiming for a east Greece look (aegean islands- white blue houses-, central Greece) or if you want more folliage and more green in general, you should aim at a more western Greece look (ionian islands, notrthenrn/mountain Greece - yelowish/brown stone houses with orange roofs and green or orange shuttered windows)
I can help with any other questions you may have, so if you need any native help don't hesitate to ask!
Thanks for the tips;)
I should post more screenies.
This is an Academy. It is quite a long trek from anywhere.

An overview. Foreground is the cemetary, beyond that is the industrial area and the city center.

Some of my cheating. Ive taken some Victorian style homes and converted them to Greek style by changing paint and roofs.

Well this is only suggestion, but you will find many ways to save you project to protect it.

Edit: First post has been updated.
I completely understand your frustration at crashes and the exchange problems. Mainly the crashes, as they have made me feel like giving up on my first 'proper' world many times now.
I like the rest of the pics so far. Can't wait to see it finished
