I have been working on mine for the past couple hours and have to finish landscaping and decorate the first and second floor. I have not been all that inspired or motivated this week, so hopefully I will be able to finish it tomorrow or Sunday sometime.

I am very excited about the next CFE course, and nervous, so many things can go wrong when you build a house with it...

    Thank you for Professor Z!

The great thing about the farm course is that it will be here when you ARE inspired and motivated! :D

I hope you will post farm pictures on this thread when you are finished, I would really love to see it!

We will be classmates in the CFE course! I already do CFE, but you never know what gems you'll pick up from another builder. And Svlyn is awesome, I'm so glad she wanted to do this!

Whoot! I'll be happy to look at your farm whenever it's finished. No big rush. If the forum will allow it, post some pictures on this thread, okay?

LaughingJacks, I LOVE your farm! I gave it the first rec!

The walk-through was great and I thought you did a nice job of making use of a sweet, spring green theme throughout the house. I don't do this EVERY build, but sometimes I like to pick a color that is used to greater or lesser degree in most of the house.

I think the piano area is my favorite, you did an interesting floor treatment in there. I really like the guest suite from the basement as well.

What a really wonderful job! I am so proud of the finished product you achieved from my class! The layout is just what was in the tutorial, but you really made the house your own with all your decorating choices. I thought your landscaping and swimable pond turned out really nice as well.

Thank you for posting for us all to see!!

Hi, jdog2ksloan! There has been a little misunderstanding I think. You CAN still take the "Building a Farm" course. All three lessons are available as self-paced online tutorials. The links for all three lessons should be in the first post of this thread (and I will check to make sure that that is true before I leave the forums today).

The "Register Me" and getting put on the class roster was for those folks who wanted to take the course when it hadn't happened yet, they want to attend the live classes which were a few months ago.

There IS a live "Zoo U" class which is happening tomorrow. It is a roofing class which is intended for beginning builders. We would love to have you with us if you would like to register for it!

To register for the roofing class, go to the first post of this thread and find the link to the Zoo U Master Thread. The Master Thread is the one you should bookmark as links to all Zoo U courses will be added there. The link for the roofing course is there right now!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to post them here OR on my Sim Page (just comment on my status post so that your comment doesn't scroll and I can find it). I will send you a friend request.

    Awesome!!

Now that Sims will be able to swim (with seasons), will you do a 2.0 tutorial, or just leave this as is?

I WISH Sims were going to be able to swim in regular ponds after Seasons, but it is my understanding from what I heard in one of the live chat events that Sims will not ever be able to swim in bodies of water (other than pools) that are on the actual lot. If there is an ocean or lake in the world you use, then your Sims will be able to swim there, but not in any lot.

So, my swimmable ponds still have a place!

Its been so long since I've last got to check out any of the past lessons that I didn't even know you had added more to it. Right now I am working on a Nothing is Free Challenge and figure that since I pretty much have to build everything. Your lessons will be a good review.

In response to your reply on my thread, I know how to post photos to threads but I've heard putting too many will break a thread, so I was afraid to post so many. And yes, I'd love to learn how to change the cover photo! I would really like to be able to show more.

Your thread is fine when you post photos as long as you don't put too many into a single post (and even at that I put a ton in there and have never had a problem) and as long as you re-size your photos by using "width=640" in the code. If you want to use an abundance of caution, use no more than ten photos in one post and then make a new post for more.

The forum USED to resize automatically, but that doesn't happen any longer for some reason.

I wanted to drop a link for you, I am putting my pics on my creative thread as I finish my rooms in my farm house.

    Anna's Comely Creations

I hope you will drop my soon. I'm thinking of redoing the kitchen area, it looks to open or unfinished..

    Anna,

I went to your thread and you farm is looking AMAZING! Great job!

I like your interior décor, but because your photos are so small I can't really see a lot of detail in some of them. I like the dining room a lot. I really didn't see a kitchen in any of the photos. If you will post some kitchen photos (large ones) on your thread and then post back HERE to let me know to go check your thread, I would be happy to give you some advice and feedback.

Your farm and your farmhouse really look excellent. The décor should be the easy part after getting the building part right.

Here is a link to a storybook on photobucket.

Just click on it. I hope this better. I will be adding more pics tonight. I'm adding Kitchen pics today. I'll have two versions. One with EA content and one with CC that I will be using in my game only.. it's for a challenge story I'm doing..

    Annadenise,

I wanted you to know that I got a chance to look at your photos and I LOVE your build! You should be so proud of it. I thought it was all really good, but there are a few things that are my favorites. I really like how you decorated the little outdoor kitchen. Very clever siding choices and decorating choices out there. I also really like the formal-looking living room (the one with the "antique" furniture. That room especially looks like a real place.

    Very excellent job!
