Looking good! I'm still wondering why not one person has a made a "modern" church in the sims 3 yet... Hmm?

Your church still looks great though!

Rukaya, I'm planning to release first and then install MS and ST. After I install those i'll try editing it again. Lothlorien does not open in CAW anymore, so i'm not risking updating anything before the world is finished.

Sneakfeline0, that trail has a purpose

    The_Purple_Plumbob, thanks :D

Tangie, thank you :) I'm using the Chappel everywhere too. I'm in love with it :P

ImAbushWookie, I have no idea. Maybe because we are used to the classic church style. By the way I love the beach your avi is at

tl8au, No it's not ready yet. I'm still building lots, and I got plenty of them. Then I'll need to test it. So it's going to take a while.
to bookmark a thread there is a small heart at the bottom of each thread page it says "bookmark it!" click that and then "ok". When you want to view the thread again click on "My bookmarks" above the thread.

I've build a few lots. I was done with the school as well , but i forgot to save and CAST got stuck on me while trying to cast a store sign (amb) and couldn't do anything but exit to the main menu , and lost both the school and the lot I was working on ( i was almost done with that too). So i went back and rebuild the last lot. I'll redo the school later today after I get some sleep.

    Okies pics now

I'm currently building all the rabbit hole lots. Then I'll do the rest of the community ones and then I'll start with the houses.

I've also filled the 9 placeholder community lots with trees so they blend with the rest of the world. They'd look ugly if I left them empty.

Hi Gem, this is beautiful. I don't know if I will buy Show Time just because I already can run only very spare worlds if they are large, like desert worlds with not many trees and lots that don't have much on them.

This is a large world with quite a bit of detail on the lots, but I am patched all the way up to the recent patch and I do have all the same store items and Dr Pepper Items you are using so I will at least try to play this on my computer. I don't know how much actual testing I can do because we will have to see how bad my computer will lag at filling in textures.

Here are the specs I can find on my Mac laptop:

    Model Name: MacBook Pro
    Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 3 MB
    Memory: 6 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz

    The graphics card info:

    NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT:

Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
    Type: GPU
    Bus: PCIe
    PCIe Lane Width: x16
    VRAM (Total): 256 MB

And this is my other Graphics card (there are 2 in the machine, I think the first one is the one that is turned on for Sims, but just in case, here is the other one--I am set to use the most powerful one, but I can never remember for sure which one it is:

    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M:

    Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
    Type: GPU
    Bus: PCI
    VRAM (Total): 256 MB

So anyway, when this world is finished, I will try loading it up and at least give you feedback on how my Mac is able to handle it. If my Mac can handle the world reasonably well, then I will try to do the more standard testing of routing, lots, careers, etc.

This does look beautiful and I wish you so much good luck on it! I love what you did with EA's buildings and your own lots are gorgeous. I love what you did with the diner, adding that matching gas station!

    Thank you Summer :)
I'll add you in the testers list. I don't remember if you ever managed to download Lothlorien and play with it. If you could handle Lothlorien this one will be a pice of cake. It has half the amount of lots, much less routable terrain ,no highrises at all, and I've payed much more attention to routing in general. I'm also trying not to over do it with folliage in lots. I do landscape them, but less than I usualy do. I mean they have full landscape but less plants in total than usual. I might add the bubblegum mashine too , but only if I manage to install it on it's own, as I am currently running the game with only the items i'm using, in order to avoid adding something that I shouldn't.

ImAbushWookie - I'm completly clueless whan it comes to building styles. I just get an idea and build around it without knowing if it belongs to a specific style. So no idea if I am or not. There are several suburb areas and they are kinda unique to eachother. I have 2 expensive areas, for mansions , 1 ranch/farm area , a starter area, a tiny area with a few rabbit holes with a few expensive lots tha will be modern only and 2 middle class/upper home areas. Now the style will vary but will be dependant on price mostly.

turistas9 - If you mean a part with high rises , no. They take too much space, they don't fit the whole idea I have for the world, and above all they cause massive lag. I started avoiding them after I used tones of them in my previous world, that actually killed it for me.

    FroggieSim - Thanks :)

Greenb70 - :) Nice to see you around. Thanks for stopping by and for your nice words. I've been planning for a new world for ages, I just finally decided to get going with it :P

    New Update :)

    Theater
    Screenshot-125-2.jpg

I noticed that the lot i've placed for the Bistro was too big for it, so I improvised, instead of going back to CAW and replacing the lot with the smaller one. I added a book store and a spa in the same lot , and it turned out way better than I was planning to. The world now has 2 bookstores and 3 Spa's
(LOL the comment in the description about crystal clear waters comes quite hady with all those Spa's)
    Screenshot-126-3.jpg
    Screenshot-127-3.jpg
    Screenshot-128-3.jpg

Speaking of Spa's... The main Spa of the world is the HS one of course. However I tagged the lot as pool, so it will have both functions. It is a 60x60 lot with a base value of 14700. I did this because in case you don't have HS, you can simply change the lot to residential and have 1 more legacy lot.
I'm generaly not good with building huge community lots, and I wasn't expecting otherwise with this one. However after A LOT of hair pulling, cursing and tantrums I am in love with the result... Why am I telling you all this? Because there is a pic spam of the Spa lot coming your way

I'm nearly done with the rabbit hole lots. I still need the Equestrian center , the military base and the Skydive center. After that we are going to slow down as I'll have to build the interiors of the community lots as well. And there are plenty of them :(

I'll be taking a break for the weekend as my fiance is coming over , but I'll start again on Sunday evening. Enjoy!

I played casually in the past, and I'm very new to this sort of scene. But I am greatly anticipating your world to be my first that I play with. Currently I am doing nothing but creating all my sims/families, etc and getting them ready for a merging of huge worlds. And I hope that this goes smoothly! I wish I could offer my help but I don't know a thing of what is to come for testing so I'll just patiently sit by and support ya! Good luck to you!

    Thanx everyone :)

eLeNemesis - I'm glad my world makes you wanna play again. Makes it more worth it :)

Conor I consider myself a lot builder more than a world creator, as building lots is the thing I've always been doing all my simming years. This is my second world , and I had a few back in sims 2, but it was way easier back then , and you could simply throw one together in just a few hours.

That's what I love in Sims. I can build to my hearts conetent without having to worry about plans , blueprints and stability. :P
And worlds is an etension of this as it gives me plenty of extra room to build in the scenery that I prefer.

My fiance is leaving in a few hours, i'll have to do some chores around the house after he does and then I'm planning on finishing with the rabbit holes so I'll get you guys another update later today.

Gem, Love what you are doing. I don't have HS, :( I will have to think about buying it for the spa [which I love] just like I ended up buying BB for some of its stuff. Oh well. :) I will go check out the price. Maybe it will on sale again.

    Thank you Rukaya :)

You don't need to worry about the HS Spa, since as I said in the first post, any store item i have included that you do not own, will not show up in your games. The HS spa lot can be used as an extra community lot for future EPs, or can be changed to residential as a 3rd Legacy lot as i've set the appropriate additional value for that sole purpose.
And the world also has 2 additional spa's especially for those without HS. The additional Spas are the pets one and the sunflower one that came with either ambitions or Riverview.

I was also able to download the gumball mashine seperately ( I have the compilation and weirdly enough the site recognised that objet as owned individually.) which came in handy as i currently have installed only the items i'm using in the world and nothing else to avoid adding a store item that I wasn't planning to.

I'm going in game again in a few and continue building :)

Ok Small update I'm done with the rabbitholes (finally) and I started with the rest of the community lots. As I was expecting it's taking ages. :(

    Anyway, pics:

    Skydive center:

    Military Base
    Screenshot-3.jpg

Equestrian center ( also added a "dressage arena")
    Screenshot-4.jpg
    Screenshot-5.jpg

    Horse ranch necxt to it
    Screenshot-6.jpg
    Interior of the "hangout area"
    Screenshot-7.jpg
I've tried to blend those two lots together as much as possible, as if they where one lot. I might paint in CAW the terrain between them to blend them even more , but I don't think I can do anything else to give the "one lot" illusion
