I can name them myself. No issue.

Wait for a while until I publish the new pics I have now and then submit any ingame pics you have and name them how ever you like.

I'm unsure what you are saying.

Anything that's different from the way it is now, needs to be programmed or exported separately. The UI would need to be changed to make it look like the way you want it.

If I understood something wrong, please try to rephrase.
Think of it like a mobile version of a news website. It's the same information and news as the original website, and it updates just as quickly and in real time. But it has all the fat trimmed off of it, like unnecessary videos that automatically play when you pull up a news article or advertisements that aren't mobile device friendly.

That's what a "lite" version is. The only thing that would be changed is the UI, but the information and how it functions would remain the same. The UI would just block and not display all the fat, as it were, and just display enough information to get basic functionality out of the information.

In other words, it is using that same Store Data, the same method of sorting, the same search algorithm, the same "checking" feature as the original program, only under a more compact and digestible GUI.

To be honest, most programs start out like this and then get "prettied up" with the GUI. The fact that you published a program with such a nice GUI is very impressive, and I'm not knocking the effort put into it.

    I get you.

Hubby did all the programming work and he made the program for ME, so it has all the info I need/want, we just decided to share with everyone. This is not the first version of this program, it actually started out as a Access Database with a completely different UI, which I still use to enter the data.

There would be the need to reprogram the GUI, if you want it to be lighter, so there is work involved.

You're welcome to reuse the data-XML file an make the light-GUI for yourself, I have no problem with other people using my data.

OK, I've uploaded some more pictures.

They can be downloaded here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?9tvl14ffrcmai23

I had to change a few of the image new cause I used special characters like é and ä which were causing troubles for some, they won't show up until I also upload the new StoreDataXML which will be tomorrow evening along with a new version of the software that should have the issue with the double pictures correct.

If you go to the place where you uninstall software, is it not listed there ?

I honestly don't know where to find it on the hard disk cause it's a so called ClickOnce application cause that's the only installer available with the free version of Visual Studio as far as we were able to find out.

EDIT: This what I found where they are supposed to be: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2359026/how-to-get-folder-path-for-clickonce-application

Do I delete all the Images in the Image folder before expanding this new file or will it know what images are already there and not double them up?

    Thanks :)

It should just overwrite them but since I changed a few file names, I think it's better to just delete the ones you have in there now and put the new ones in.

sure, my Desktop is Windows xp and I have a laptop with Windows 7, havent put it on that one yet. The only thing is it doesnt show in the control panel where you would normally go to uninstall a file.. I think what I did wrong was where its listed n the start I just deleted it. guess that was the wrong thing to do. I have learned my lesson. on a good note is I put all your pictures in and it is working fine. thank you

That took a little longer than anticipated.

I've updated the data and there's also a new version of the Software available. Please check the first post and this Updates for Details.

Because of the Umlaute (like ä, é and stuff) I was using in some of the picture file names, I had to change some of them (little difficult for international users to use those). The new list can be found on the first page.

To find out what they were and what they names are now, you can use the missing pictures function in the settings menu. It will tell you what it can't find anymore. If you were using the 1300 image collection, some might be showing up now that haven't before.

They were mostly (can't remember them all):
    - Collection Stänké (changed ä to ae and é to e)
    - JCP Sets (change - t to - JCP, cause they are not really for teens)
    - Vamp Neckline Blouse has an extra space before Blouse which was removed.

We've also changed the installation a little bit but if you are only updating, that shouldn't be an issue anyways. Don't use advanced functions, they are mostly for me.

Feel free to report any troubles you run into and please backup your inventory files and UserData.xml before updating.

    Have fun.

Oh and also, if anyone has more ingame pictures, send them my way :)

Just wanted to let you know this had been both a blessing and a curse. I now know what should and should not be on my wishlist and at the same time, I want to have the circle thingy be completely yellow.

*sigh* what's a girl to do?

A few consistency notes and links if you're interested - nothing major, just like I said consistency errors that always pop up when inputting data over long periods of time and/or in batch quantities...

The Dr. Pepper Beach Bum's Barbeque is categorized as None -> Grill, the Home on Range Grill from the Memory Rewards is categorizes as Appliances -> Misc.

The Infinite Flow Hot Tub (Japanese Inspired Living) is under Appliances -> Showers & Tubs, all other hot tubs are under Plumbing -> Showers & Tubs.

Linear Lounge (Futureshock) is listed as Construction Depot. -> Lounge Chairs.

Barnacle Bay's mailbox (Mail Ho!) is categorized as Outdoors; Hidden Springs' mailbox (Fancy Pillar Box) is categorized as None.

The Paper Hat Princess hair from the Everyday Kids Collection is listed as *Clothing* Child Female instead of *Hair*.

Most of the items in the Renault sets are in a Decor or Transportation Main category - the Prius and Ford sets are all listed as Branded Content.

Finally, I realize that it's easier to get the full sets for the first Halloween and Thanksgiving sets (and that's the only way to find them in the store anymore) but the individual item pages are still active if you want them for the database.

Did you add your own pictures with the Change Image underneath the pictures at all ? If you put everything in the sub folders and name them they way they are listed on the Excel Sheet, you should not have any problems (it's working fine for me, so I'm unsure where the problem lies).

Could you maybe post a pic on how it's showing in the browser for you ?

As for the JPG/PNG: It's the way EA provides them on their website. Usually sets and compilations are JPG, the items are PNGs. I'll have hubby change that so that the extension won't matter anymore. For now, you need to use the same type as provided on the list

The data has been updated with the newest sets. I also uploaded ingame pics for the killer classics set (thanks to MrHawk): http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/s3s-browser/updates

I had done my own pics for the Killer Classics before I saw your update and was just coming on here to ask why the 'set' pic wasn't showing up! I changed it to a jpg and it shows up fine now.

Thanks for the update with the new sets. Awesome program, I'm finding it very useful indeed *hugs*

I'm going to help with the process as well - I'm starting with the female clothing. Before I get too far into it I know you need png images 200x200.

For the female full outfits I'll be adjusting the height to 200 and allowing the width to autocorrect to whatever keeps the aspect ratio right.

Here is my first sample (hardest part is going through all the clothes to find the one I was looking for.)

    Ahoy There:

    AhoyHere.png

Let me know if I need to change my settings - I'm saving all image files I make into a folder on my desktop to zip with path names for you.
