Why is it so much more

So I decided I would try to buy simpoints online. I got to step 3/4 and the total = $27 Canadian for 2000 points. Why so much? It didn't work anyways as I got a picture of Liam in step 4 but still. I think I'd rather buy a stuff pack instead.

Aren't purchases in Canada more expensive than purchases in the US? Like one time when I got a book they had something around the bar code saying "US $15 CAN $18" Maybe it also applies for Simpoints? o.o

True, but the Canadian dollar was worth more over the summer, and the simpoints were still the same price as they are now. :( If they sold the EA cards here I would get one of those, but they don't.

Edit: It's $24 for Canadians to buy points on the site, but with tax added onto it it comes to $27.
