I wasn't impressed with the original TS3 for 3DS but the idea of controlling pets and making pet families sounds fun. Right now I'm enjoying nindtendo dogs + cats for 3DS. I think in order to be fun, the sims series needs the ability to have children OR pets (both is preferable). IMO pets are furry children. In RL, I have 3 German Sheherds who are very much the children of my family.
