i am having trouble re-installing the Outdoor Living Stuff pack.

first of all it says, "update of the sims 3 failed, setup is unable to continue."
does anyone know how to solve this?

second of all, if not, my question is: if i install Generations, will it come with the items in Outdoor living stuff? i really want the items that came with this game.

I can answer the second question. The items in the outdoor living stuff are separate from generations. Therefore you will not get them unless you install outdoor living.

but, as it turns out, the game just installed after three days of trying.
and, i was able to install Generations.
