Seasons Version now available! The exchange actually didn't fight me today. Have fun all and please remember to read the important information if you have the install problem. This is a problem caused by CAW not the world.

Yahoo I was hoping this great world would be updated. Thank you so much for all your hard work and time. I have been trying to update other player worlds that I have so your updated version of SV is so welcomed. You did a wonderful job of fixing all the flaws of the original. Happy dance. :D Am going to try and dl this world and will give it a recc.

Well I tried everything including making certain that I had in fact removed the previous version of your SV and it just won't install. My launcher says it is, but it is not listed in the Installed worlds in the sims3 file in documents and it is not showing up in the list of worlds when I start the game. I tried twice just to make certain, and it is just not working. I really don't feel comfortable trying to go to the DC backup folder, etc, so will wait for CAW to be fixed, and you are able to make so we technologically challenged players can download and install your great world. :?

Please read the comments at the bottom of the first post on Page 1. There are special instructions of what to do if this happens. Good luck!

Still working on getting it into my game, but looking forward to it.

A suggestion for folks who do want to add Supernatural lots, especially the Elixir Store: I've done this in other worlds and it's worked perfectly. Instead of using the consignment store that's in the Bin, I went to Twinbrook and copied the consignment store from there (fits good on a 40x30 lot). It has 3 floors so you can put the Elixir Register on one floor (and decorate accordingly -- I add a gem cutter and alchemy station so my Sims can study there till they have enough money for their own), and either leave the third floor empty or put something else there like the Pet Shop register (if you have the limited content). Saves an extra lot or two. In SV2E, I then use the lot from the original consignment shop for the Red Rendezvous from Twinbrook which I make into a Local Watering Hole (using LN bars and adding entertainment items from LN and Showtime; if you have the Casino items from the Store you can turn the 3rd floor into a small casino, or put a dance floor up there and stick a karaoke machine on the 1st floor).

Followed the instructions in the first post, and still can't get it to show up -- I'll try it again later on.

If your world is still not showing make sure:

    1) You have installed the world via the launcher as normal, or else you have possibly tried to rename and move some other store / custom package as a world file. :)

    2) You are changing the file type correctly. Sometimes people rename the file and forget to delete overwrite the file type and end up with Sunset Valley (Seasons 2nd Edition).world.package - This will not work. You must make sure you show file extensions and change the extension to .world.

For more help see the create a world section of these forums. Hopefully EA fix this soon.

thank you so much. i downloaded it and installed normally, then went to the backup folder and arranged by date so it was as you said the amount of kb or mb whichever was on top as you said it would be, changed the name made sure it was .world and put it in the game data shared non packaged worlds as you said and yes original sunset valley was there as you said it would be. i pasted it there and am going to see my fave world in seasons :) thank you so much!

Okay, that probably explains where I goofed -- I may have left the file type as .package (my husband was trying to get me off the computer because we had to go take his mom out to lunch today  ). Just about to give it another try, so hopefully it'll work.

Yo fam, so it says all expansions are needed/heavily recommended. However, it is then stated that some have gotten it to work with some.

Has anyone been alright with only Late Night/Generations/Seasons/Pets? I hate the Pets Sunset Valley.

Hey Lynx, I notice you said all expansions packs which I have, so I'm assuming this has been updated for Showtime also?

Thank you more space is always welcome :D
Just a heads up for anyone using Twallans Overwatch (V89), it prevented Claire Ursine from giving birth in my game, so if you are having any problems eg lagging, it might be worth taking it out until after she has her baby which is Tues night/Wed a.m.

This is going to sound dumb, but what exactly is this: *Where ever you installed Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds\ (You should see the original sunset valley here as well.)

I know it's not the same for everyone, so it's hard to say but whis there a particular place to narrow down to look? I pasted:
Sunset Valley (Seasons Edition).world into the Installed Worlds file, but it doesn't show up in the launcher. Is there somewhere else it should be?

    Thanks!

    Thanks

Hey its uh not letting me go to your page but I followed your instructions on how to install it if it doesn't appear and I don't have a GameData folder in my Sims 3 folder. I tried searching for it but nothing.

Now if my launcher would stop crashing as I attempt to install it :(

Edit: It stopped crashing, installed it and it, of course, didn't show up. Followed the instructions in the first post and it's loading now :) Thanks. I always liked this version of Sunset Valley. Now I'll go in and repair some relationships with MC (mainly between Agnes Crumplebottom and Cornelia Goth), make a base save file and use it with some of my new games.

Thank you very much. I really enjoyed the Pets version and I know I will enjoy the Season's version. It is the only town I play. Downloaded and recommended.

Going to download it now, but I don't think it'll play on my computer just yet. I've only got 2gigs of RAM. Processor and graphics are high, though.

Memory and hard drive are among the next things on my list to upgrade. :D
