Thank you soooooo much Rflong. Out of all the sims 3 world creators including not on forums, you are my favorite. I can always depend on your worlds to be trouble free and beautiful.

Oh @Rflong7 it looks nice! I wasn't too interested in it before, just not on my radar to play that kind of game, but I might have to download it and check it out. :)

And if you are taking requests, I have been using Glenvale County as a build world and a world where all jobs are open using mods and RH rugs. But I desperately need a train station so sims have a travel agent they must visit in order to travel to other worlds (like WA worlds or using NRAAS Traveler). I think if the land to the left of big lot behind the water tower (I've bulldozed everything so not sure what was there now - science? Military, probably) and placed tracks going to that hill behind it with the tunnel - I think that should be able to work for it. I'd like my train station to stay a 20x30 lot size but I'm not sure that would work. I will try to post a picture of what I am talking about if that would help. and there is no pressure here at all. Feel free to tell me that it will be a while before you could get or it or just say no.

I don't know if this helps at all but I was thinking these might be the easiest locations. I'm sorry the lines turned out difficult to see, but the red line represents the tracks. The red X represent the tunnel that the tracks could disappear into. The blue represents flat space for a lot (size TBA).

Possible location 2, but I know you have the mine there and I don't want you to have to change too much. Really appreciate the effort!

Question: if tracks are layed in the world, does placing a lot partially on them make them disappear? Because ideally, the tracks would be either in the front or the back of the lot so I can make it look like passengers could board there.

Cool! There's more space for a lot of various sizes (since I don't know exactly what I'll need yet) on the first location near the military. I'm going to try to replicate the little train station in my home town. Hasn't been used as a train station in years and years - for a while it was a gift shop but now it's part of a little park. Not sure if you can go inside or not but I doubt it. But it should be a fun experiment. :)

BTW, that lot that was the military RH is now my town's 'water treatment plant'. I copied the fishing lot from Riverview and enlarged the building to hold the skill equipment needed for Zerbu's open science career. The science RH rug is also inside. It's kind of crazy after all these years of playing this game, but I'm having so much fun! :D

How lovely. I can't wait to see it.
You'll* let me know where to place the train tracks once you get the lot built.

*I did do this for Beach City... just to show you it can be done. :)

I checked out your train station in BC! I love that lot and world. But it's just way too big for the project I'm working on now. Really need a medium sized world where it's easy to place my own lots, which is why I finally settled on Glendale County. It also has a farming section for my farmers who will grow food for the local grocery store.

We could do it that way - I could build the lot and you could place it and finish it with the tracks. But I was also thinking that the tracks didn't have to be on the actual lot. If I place a lot right next to them it could still look like a train could stop there and pick up travelers. Or, you could just place your lot from BC and lay the tracks to match! I really do love your train station, and it would be easy to put a travel agent area inside. Except for the garbage spawners. ;)

I'll try to start work on a train station and see where it goes. All I would need to do is to get the shell built and worry about the interior later.

Oh, no- I wasn't suggesting my lot, just that I could place them on your lot.

I can run them near the lot. Which place do you want your lot and what size, then I'll go and play around with the world. (20x30?) :)

@Rflong7 I really meant I not only considered your lot, I considered your whole BC world! Both are fab! It's just that I needed something that had more of a small town/rural vibe to it for the world. But I really wouldn't be at all opposed to just using your train station lot, I'd just need to clean it up some because in my little town it won't be a run-down area. :)

My preference is near the Military lot, the possible location in the first screenshot I uploaded. And maybe the lot size should be 30x40 just to ensure I can make the whole thing work together.

Thank you so much for attempting this for me!

Oh, good- that's where I started. XD
Do you want me to put in any other lots?

I've had to bulldoze some of the lots in order to place smaller lots (I'm not using EA's RH so I don't need 'em that big) and that's been working OK for me. I just do one or two at a time and haven't had any problems so far. Maybe just have some flattened land so I can add a lot or two if needed down the road?

I don't want to make things too difficult for you if you've already started this, but how about placing a 3x4 lot next to the road but running the tracks behind it, like you did for your train station in BC? You could even run the tracks onto the back side of the lot. Or seriously, see if your train station in BC works here! Whatever is easiest for you. I wouldn't mind using your lot at all. As long as you don't mind, of course.

Excuse my squiggly lines, I'm just using Paint for this!

@HappySimmer3 -Oh? You mean you want the slope of that road area shorter so the land can be flat near the train station?

This is what I already did... I can change it.

@Rflong7 that looks great! That should work just fine. I can work with whatever size lot will fit there. You are a doll for doing this for me! I'm always so hesitant to ask for changes because truly, I'm grateful for every one of your worlds.

Ok I'm gushing now so I'll stop. :) But thanks a million!

It's a 30x40 lot you wanted (oops- it's 40x30). I started there because it fit better with placing the tracks and a smaller lot could be moved around. :)
I've got to export it and check on it a little. It's been in cold storage for years. ;)

It's a new world number so you can install both if you need and not worry about getting all your lots and having to uninstall. That is if I did it right.

Got it, will test it out ASAP!

I didn't even think about the world number, but that's a big help. I've got one version in play but I consider it a sort of test version anyway so I was planning to start over and now it will be perfect! I also have a couple of versions that I'm just building in for my play version. Thank you!

It is SO great to see you in the forums, again. And I have to agree with HappySimmer3 that your worlds ARE the best!

Even though this is just a modified version of Glenvale County, I can't wait to give it a try!

    You rock!

It installed fine and it's perfect! The way you laid the tracks will work great. Love that you also added a spot for a dive lot (not sure if I'll add one but maybe eventually - nice to have the option!). Thanks again, so much. Going to have great fun building this up. :)

And btw, 40 x 30 is what I really wanted for the lot size (my bad for stating it wrong) so very glad you did it that way.

Rflong, I just wanted to say I love your "cheery" industry island. It's perfect for playing and building with tons of cc. Thanks!
