@Reachsims, I think that's probably the way to go about it, now that I know you have to do the basement/stairs first. I will just make an incredibly large basement and put the stairs in and then work my house around that! Hahahaha... Do I put a foundation on top of it or just start building the house? I've always been told that a good foundation is the key to a solid, stable house (in real life)... does this not apply to the Sims? I was so proud of myself for even taking on this project, because building houses has never been something I'm very good at, and it actually didn't look so bad, and it took so 🐸🐸🐸🐸 long. I just got so mad because of the basement issues! And I need the basement for laundry purposes! LOL
Sorry to be taking up all this space in this thread, I know it's for gifting.
@HSmith2016 you might find, in terms of house building generally, that it's easier to draw out a floor plan before you begin? Some people who make real fancy sims houses actually use floor plan websites that give you the blueprints and pictures of the outside for free of a variety of different house styles. I definitely prefer to draw it out beforehand, I doubt you're bad at it at all
homecoming is coming on dd in alot of hours but i havea chance of getting it so any help is apreciated and again (not needed)
and @reachsims can you send me a link to that dd calculator?? thanks
i am not sure if this is corrct my cys should be atleast 702sp to get it for free my cys is 855sp so will i get it for free?!
Actually, you have to install the items again in the new sims 3 folder (or copy the files you need over if you installed all the future stuff into the same file). But, it you saved all the download files in an organized fashion, it's not so bad.
I might have to create another install guide for something like that.
@LaineeCheri, I did find a tutorial to do it. I have it bookmarked and I'm going to give it a try. But it looks really complicated, there are a lot of steps and I don't know if the stairs will fit where I need them to go. However! If I do have to bulldoze and rebuild, do you have any idea how to put a basement in the right way? Lol
I'm sorry I had zero advice about this ! I'm not a skilled builder but I have been able to put basements in existing houses after 3 hours of work LOL!
@lasummerb I hope you enjoy those items! I love the Indian stuff so much! It was my first purchase ever! I bought sim points to buy it
Good morning! I hope everyone is having a good day. It is my one day this week with nothing to do but clean house and sew. I was going through the DD spreadsheet for the next 100 items and so few left to get! It is both nice and kind of sad not to be as consumed with it as I have had to be the last few months. I hate to ask, but I could use a little more help with Fifth Avenue before it goes off sale this week, though I am sure it'll come around again. Then new sales tomorrow! Yay!
Hello, everyone! Hope you are all having a good day today. Just a quick drive-by to catch up with what's going on, then I'll be off and on for the day. My husband is home today, so I will have to balance out the attention for him and my Sims! @adamzaid, thank you for including me in your new build, but I don't have all the EPs that you do, so it won't work in my game. It looks really good, though! Hopefully, the set you're working on will be free for you. @Lizzie1234,I'm thinking I need to major in architecture and engineering in order to figure out how to build a simple little house in my game! I really didn't think it was so complicated, it probably isn't once you get the hang of it, but geez... who would have thought a teeny little basement would become such a headache?!? Hahahahaha @LaineeCheri, well what's another 3 hours of work to put a basement in, when I've already put 3 hours of work into building the house? LOL @Loveandhate, you're welcome! The ads have been good, knock on wood!
hi @gui i would not advise you to beg i was diong that before and i was almost kicked out and i recommend you to keep these in your wishlist but change your top5 to individual items items from a set so when they go to your wishlist they might gift you another think you want from the wishlist simple!! like @Okblondee7 gifted me a venue that was on my wishlist but not in my top5
@HSmith2016 LOL! I worked for an airline and as a ticket agent and during every major delay I would build while fixing tickets, I got some masterpieces done during 3+ hour delays!
Wise words, @adamzaid! But for some reason, I don't believe that @gui is paying any attention to anything that anyone is saying. It appears that he/she is new to the forums and while I totally understand the "want" for those things to be gifted, I don't think that he/she understands quite how to go about asking for and/or receiving items. A few others have tried to point out that the wishlist items should be lower-priced, but it doesn't seem to be sinking in.
