I'm still in 1.36 and can't install GlenDonnach neither (hola, Chris!); I'm going to try your workaround, Moon_Willow, thanks for posting it!
So far, I had to install it by extracting the biggest .package with the Multi-Installer, and to rename it .world, and then put it in the InstalledWorlds folder, but it failed too.
The download page says it contains two items from the Store (I can't get the GlenDonnach page showing up right now, but they're listed when you click on the "store" link, near the little Premium Content icon).
EDIT: Cleaning the Sim3pack did the trick! I finally could install that beautiful world! Thank you!
Wow what a beautiful world, don't know how I missed the release of it. Rec'd and fav'd and downloaded. Off to let my Sims get a taste of the Scottish Highlands
This is a bit of an irregular ask, but I do not have Seasons and would very much like to see GlenDonnach with a snowy or autumn backdrop (or even the most common weather - rain  ).
Would it be possible for a very generous simmer to upload some pics of the world in Seasons?
Oh wow, this world is beautiful. If I can figure out how to get Jynx's rabbit hole doors to work, I'll have to download it. Obligatory question from an equestrian Simmer: Are there any 64x64 lots in this world?
I downloaded this world last night and absolutely love it! Thank you so much for creating it. Being from the UK, it's so refreshing to have a world that I can identify with - it's lovely and so well done too and has totally renewed my interest in the game.
ScarlettLuffsU - The world does rely quite heavily on World Adventures. Certain critical features (such as the bridges) are made using WA elements. I'm afraid I wouldn't advise downloading the world without WA installed.
CynMorally - There is no fully flat 64x64 lot in this world. When I was landscaping for lots Pets had not been announced so I made no equestrian-friendly lots.
That said, there are numerous empty lots. If you are fine with the custom rabbit hole doors then this equestrian door may be of appeal: http://customsims3.com/forums/thread-967.html
I love your GlenDonnach, I downloaded your save option, the first one for me, now I am willing to upload a save option of one of my worlds that I cannot upload properly to the exchange, ashamed to say I don´t know how did you do this, I want to share my world Simland of Sark (the small channel island you know) now that I have worked far in it in playgame, it has little to do with the one I uploaded to the exchange when I made the first version. Can you show me how do I upload a save version of my world to mediafire?
I can play at last TS2 TS3 and TS4 So great that toddlers are here!!!

Thanks for answering. I'll have to get WA sometime soon.
junceda - In order to put your World on Medifire you need to go to www.medifire.com and make an account. You then log into Medifire with the user name and password you selected when you made the account. Choose Upload and select your World on your computer and upload it. After it is done uploading you get the link and paste it with images on here in a thread of your own. Hope the helps!
junceda - Your world's save file is at C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves
This folder contains all the save files for your worlds, which will be named whatever you called them in the game. Next you should compress the save file you want to use (right click on it and choose "compress" or "add to archive").
Then you just need to follow Illyianna2005's advice above for your save file and you should have a save file uploaded
Thankyou very much both of you Illyianna2005 and doublemedion694 I will try to do it when 1.50 patch issue is off, now I can´t update my game, but I think this will be fix soon.
Thankyou again
I can play at last TS2 TS3 and TS4 So great that toddlers are here!!!
Doublemedion - thank you so very much for this wonderful world! I have been playing in GlenDonnach for about a week or so and I am loving this place. Unfortunately, my Sim wanted to take a detour through University but I was thrilled when she graduated after three terms. Now, she's got the bright idea to get a second degree.
Some general comments-
1. I am using Jynx's rabbit hole doors but I see the rabbit holes are there as well so that's great for those who don't use Jynx's doors.
2. Everything is running very smoothly with no lag.
3. I had two Sims whose aging was stuck but since my Sim knew them, they were easy to locate to reset their age in CAS. There is one unroutable Sim stuck somewhere, named Guy Logan, but I haven't been able to find him.
4. No glitches whatsoever.
5. I forgot to take a picture with the rain because I have the rain turned off in my game but I will turn it back on once winter is over and see if I can grab a shot for you.
Since I was taking a little break from Rinn Fada I thought I would try my hand at building a couple lots for your world. Your world offered a most difficult challenge with its small, unique, custom lot sizes but I love small lots. I have built two so far.
I always like to play with a small community garden with almost all the plants in the game, for the sake of convenience. All of my Sims grow their own food but not everything at the same time.
GlenDonnach Community Garden garden is built at - 18 Dalgowrie Lane. With the exception of the money tree and the plasma plant, it offers one of every plant in the game - including all the new Uni plants. Includes the new garden stations and two bathrooms with showers. BBQ pit and a tiny empty basement for - whatever.
This next lot below I'm really proud of because it's my first festival lot and it turned out perfectly with zero problems. It's even got a construction mode so it's usable "365" days a year - I haven't yet grabbed a screenshot of the construction mode but it has three tents set up and the roller skating rink and last time I checked, five Sims were there skating even though the festival was not set up yet. LOL.
Opening day at GlenDonnach Fall Festival, located at 4 Beglie Lane
The Market in GlenDonnach, with concession stands from the Al Fresco Market - third day of fall
Fishing on a full moon the last night of fall *I have NO lighting mod in my game - this is the real deal.*
First day of winter in GlenDonnach *Natural lighting*
Just for laughs... The Grim Reaper shows up for the winter festival
Grim Reaper skating - back side of the festival lot at closing
Doublemedion, thank you again for this beautiful world. If there is a way for you to ever get Seasons... I wish I could send it to you!
Thank you SO MUCH Reachsims!! You have made me so happy
I love what you've done with the farmer's market and the festival lots. It really makes the town feel more rural and lived-in.
Thanks also for the affirmative testing comments. It's always great to hear your world is holding up over time. I did not create Guy Logan so I'm afraid I don't know how to fix that...
Oh my this is just beautiful, as a scottish girlie it makes me so happy to see this ok so i am just outside of glasgow but my fella is from the highlands so we try to visit his lovely family when we can and its just beautiful there. I feel like you have really captured it in this world because like you say we do have very different styles of housing etc here and the vista is just gorgeous i imagine many sims that live in this world get the beautiful vista moodlet a lot So i was just wondering what eps do you need to have for this world to look as it should? also are the rabbithole buildings now fully working without the doors?
Littlemizboo - You will need Riverview, World Adventures and Ambitions.
From what I can tell, I think the rabbit holes are all there. I am using Jynx's doors but I'm pretty sure there aren't missing rabbit holes. The world is truly beautiful, rural, feels and looks lived in, natural, authentic.
If you decide to use this world, please post if you would like the festival lot I built for it. I have not uploaded it anywhere yet but I did upload my garden which ended up looking like this:
Blythelyre - The market lot is Doublemedion's creation except for the following -
I took one of the stable stalls and added two bathrooms.
I added the fruit stands from the Al Fresco Market.
I added one beekeeping box, a firepit, a picnic table, a seesaw, a couple little things.
Inside the market, I added some content to the display shelves and removed one of the display shelving units for easier movement inside. I moved a couple things around a bit inside. There are no changes to the structure except one square's worth of a modification of a half-wall for easier access to the loo.
If DoubleMedion has no objection, I'll upload the market.
I can upload the festival lot which is built on an empty lot that sloped downhill and required adding stairs to the lower level, only because the large things (half-pipe and skating rinks, for example) had to be set on large LEVEL areas, so essentially, I had to take a sloping lot and create two separate levels out of it.
I have a house guest until Monday, so give me a couple days and we'll wait on DoubleMedion's approval for the market upload? I am really happy to share my little creations with anyone as they are built FOR THIS WORLD, with its very unique, small sizes.
:!: If anyone knows an easy way for me (in the USA) to send a gift of Seasons to our artist here (in Scotland), information would be greatly appreciated. Of course, an easy way to send the funds for the same is just as helpful. (I haven't used Paypal in a zillion years.) I think our host is very modest and doesn't even maintain a wish list.
Littlemizboo - As Reachsims says, the world requires Riverview, World Adventures and Ambitions. I cannot vouch for how well it works without Ambitions but world adventures is a must.
As for rabbit holes, a substantial amount involve the original ones tucked into basements. The more tricky lots (hospital, theatre, city hall etc) use the rabbit hole doors. There's nothing stopping you trying to put these in yourself - it's just that integrating them may compromise the style of the buildings (plus you can't put basements in lots with foundations :?: ).
Reachsims - I would love for you to download the rest of your lots on the exchange! The world was made with only 2 EPs so its great of you to provide downloadable lots which give some later EP functionality. And the market lot was just asking to be made into a proper market
Thank you so much for the rainy pic. It's nice to see a Scottish world reflect the real climate.

I was finally able to get it installed also, by using the "Add to Game" option. Thanks for that! It's a beautiful world!
Thanks so much, you are awesome. I love this world. soo happy.

GlenDonnach Botanical Society Community Garden - built for 18 Dalgowrie Road in GlenDonnach.
There are more details and two more images on the upload if you want to check it out. It's 20 x 15, a standard EA size.
Per request of our creator - Rain in GlenDonnach
Thank you, DoubleMedion, but I am thanking *YOU*.
