Wow, its beautiful! I'm so glad im not the only one getting bored with the Southern Cali style houses/neighborhoods. I live in a very historic part of the US and my town isn't anywhere near like the ones they make :/ theres no... idk, crowded small store fronts or anything. I love your world I'll be bookmarking/keeping up with it :)

The world is still in progress. The town square is taking a while to do. Some new pictures will be uploaded soon.

I have been to Scotland twice but on South Scotland (Ayshire & Edinbourg) I guess this world has a more 'Highlands' feel to it. I notice that old Scottish buildings are nearly always built with stone where in England it is mostly brick so the towns have a much differnt look to them. The countryside is also very green which makes it look very lush and far from bland.

Wow, this is great! My husband is Scottish, but he's a city boy so when we used to visit back and forth I only really saw Glasgow (and Edinburgh once). I'd still like to go back over and take a trip out to the country sometime. I'm definitely showing this to him! Even though he thinks the sims is silly, I think he'll be pleased to see this world being created. Bookmarked to download when it's finished!

The latest patch has made EIG impossible for now. Fortunately there's still plenty to do asides from building lots.

Is it because you can't save? I was having that problem too, but all you have to do is close CAW when you're in Edit in Game mode. Regardless, the new pictures look awesome!

What distant terrain did you use?
    The world look great!

I am using a combination of the sunset valley and twinbrook distant terrains. The Twinbrook one in particular is merging well with the edges of my world.

soccergirl1996 - The train tracks were unlocked using GiLaNg's mods over at modthesims.info: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=418719.

Currently, my CAW does not open up edit-in-game (due to the latest patch). It's a problem which seems to be affecting anyone who updated but did not buy Generations. Nevertheless, I've been installing it to the game itself and building and saving lots that way.

are you going to add some of scotlands ancient woodlands to your world with a national park hopefully pets will come with wildlife so you could have things spawning like deer in the forest you could also make it a national park that would be a great place to take the family and take wildlife photographs

I love your lots, Doublemedion. They're so simple, so traditional, but no boring at all. I suppose a huge modern home wouldn't fit well in this type of world though

    Keep it up ;)

lol yeah I'm not much of a designer modern house guy, although I should probably make one or two (most likely based on real ones).

And don't worry Naturelover, There'll be plenty of woodland areas for sims (and possibly animals) to camp in. :-)

    Hi Doublemedion

Glendonnach is looking great and I love those little touches you are adding to your world. The white train signal box/station is utterly charming and quite authentic.
Just looking at the pictures Glendonnach exudes a quiet, peaceful and elusive charm, very much like the places it may be based on.

hey I have a minor question, how did you get the bridge over road with train tracks and does it still allow sims and cars to route underneath it?
    Loving the world so far!
