It's starting to look really good I especially like this shot. It just so beautiful to me, and really tells me I got a crap load of work to do for my world.
Ha ha. PapaSmurf, I can't even imagine how long until this world will be finished, so I know what you mean. Sculpting and painting the terrain took long enough, but now filling all those lots...sheesh. That's some time-consuming stuff...especially when one is as slow a builder as I am. I worked on a tiny little house for hours this evening, and it's nowhere near finished. I'm still in the "enjoying myself" phase, but I'm sure I'll be in the "really getting sick of this" phase before long.
Oh yeah I certainly know that feeling I've been working on mine for over a year and I am still tweaking it. Sadly I don't even have most of the buildings done. I have pretty much all of the sculpting done except for little things here and there that I keep finding (kind of aggravating). The problem sometimes of being a perfectionist at least to some degree.
It seems to be progressing along nicely. Looking Good.
Hey, Papa. I truly appreciate your ongoing support and interest. I'm really getting tired of building. I know when Generations comes out next week I'll have to put world-building on hold while I experiment with the new EP! A break will do me good. :-)
After working on lots and sims for months, I finally have a well-tested version and fully functioning version of Scotch Hollow that I will release later today or tomorrow. For now, her are some new screenshots:
Views of the urban area, New Scotch Hollow, from the farming community, Rabbit Ridge...
Shots of the rurual mountain area, Hermit Hollow.
The nectary...
Greismer's Grogshop and the Gas n Gruel...
Heading into Old Scotch Hollow (historical district)...
Dizzy McCracken's Jazz Club...
Cottage Row neighborhood...
Busy Bea's Daycare (owned and operated by Beatrice Snapley)...
Thank you! It should be ready to go this evening. I want to post more pics before I upload the CAW package and the SAVE file, though. I'm so glad you like it!
Oooohhh, I love it, too! I love all the detail you put into it and it looks like it would be a lot of fun to play. Nice work!
Thanks for the very nice comment! I think I put a lot of detail into it, too. You'll see what I mean when I post the next four images, which are maps that show the names of all the different "regions" within the world, as well as all the lot names. I got a big kick out of that! I have been having a great time playing this world. I hope you do too!
