Hey everyone, I was wondering you guys could check out my new Sims 4 Legacy Challenge Blog please? Thanks so much if you check it out.If you don't want to, that's alright too, I understand :) just type in: www.(mysims4legacychallenge). wordpress . com (No brackets or spaces, I just can't post links yet ;) )
You can go HERE for The Sims 4 Legacy Challenge Rules.
@Panda A Rainbowcy starts with a neutral colored founder sim (i.e. white, grey, tan...). Each generation marries a different colored sim (color order is left up to you) and at the end of the challenge you have a rainbow of colored sims.
I've never done ANY of the legacy's and I've had the Sims 3 since it came out so I'm really excited to start with the original 10 generation one!! Hope it's a lot of fun (: Thank you for posting this!!
This list isn't being update for at least 1 year and everybody see it but the SimsGurus, who, instead of checking for a more uptodate list, just transfered this one.
I started a list myself, hoping they'd see it but they didn't and I had to bring the list back to the front page almost every day. So I gave up...
A few others tried the same thing but noone was able so far to get the attention of any Guru, what's a big shame

So far, Out of the Challenges listed below, I've created the Living Off The Grid Challenge.

I plan to create and convert many more Sims 4 Challenges in the future.

I know lots of people are still playing Sims 3 and looking for something new.
There are a lot of legacies that start out poor, but end up super rich.
To keep the challenge fresh, I suggest a Starting Over legacy.
This means that when it's time to move out your YA heir(ess), the YA moves to a different town to start completely over.
I don't like a lot of rules and playing someone else's way, but...
TRY using NO cheats (other than purely decorative ones like MoveObjects).
You'll start over each generation in a town that your legacy family has NOT lived in before (unless you don't have very many EPs or store worlds and therefore run out of new towns.) You can follow a logical historical progression from Dragon Valley through Lunar Lakes or just skip around however you like. (This way you'll play all the worlds you never play!)
Follow whatever legacy rules you like from other legacies such as always rolling for traits, having a family trait, only directing sims to do something when it relates to one of their wishes or job/school requirements (or to keep their needs from dropping into the red zone), etc.
I love all the ideas of this thread! I just started my tenth generation of my legacy and am looking for ideas for another legacy I could start once I finish.

Ciane - I really like your idea. I actually had started something similar on my own to force myself to explore every career, every opportunity, every world, every occult etc. Below is how I structured mine. Really very much like your suggestion.
I will call it Forever Young. First - aging is normal. Then I chose one sim to be a "supernatural-not-by-choice" sim who was born of a fairy and a witch but didn't know her (or his- I used a female but it doesn't matter) parents were a 'mixed' breed or even supernatural. In fact she didn't even know what a supernatural was other than a fairy tale. When her mother is dying, she tells her stories of alchemy and spell books hidden in the basement. (I had her mother die when my sim was a teen) She thinks they are the ramblings of a delusional woman but when she actually finds them she becomes curious and well - you make up your own story. The bottom line is she must use the potions she develops to keep her from aging past adult.
She then goes on to discover her heritage by searching the world. She must get married and produce children in each world. They are not heirs and there is no restriction on the number of children unless you want to self impose them.
Her husband and children are not aware of her supernatural tendencies and each husband will die an unnatural accidental death before she moves to a new world. Their death is not by her hand (at least in my story line - others may be more sinister) as she really loves them. Each 'accidental' death should be unique - jelly bean death, drowning, electrocution, etc so you discover all of the death types. She keeps their urns upon moving to a new world. After all, she loved them or if she offed them wants trophies. Each time she moves she takes her alchemy with her. It must be put in a secret room accessible only to her. Have fun creating a hiding place in plain sight for the alchemy station, urns potions etc.
She needs to have a specific goal in each world such as a career, specific lifetime want, discover all the plants, achieve all skill challenges for a certain skill, etc. She can move on when she reaches her goal and her current hubby is now in an urn. Combine skill challenges and careers to make it a bit more challenging. It is up to you. You can choose to let her hang around depending on her story in that world, but she can only marry once in each world. Maybe her children are getting married and wondering why she still looks so young while they are approaching their elder years - time to say goodbye and move on! If she has young children she can take them with her. You decide the story as you go.
But the big thing is you cannot use any cheats to keep her young. Try not to use any other cheats either. Mods are certainly fine - just not mods that make her immortal. She has to use potions or spells to stay young but you can't make her immortal. She can become a vampire, werewolf, witch, or any occult type you have access to but she must be all of them at least once. I believe they can all be 'cured' but not 100% on this as I haven't done more than witch and vampire so far. So this is also a goal - to experience each occult type. You get the drift. There is so much to explore in TS3 that you want to discover it all.
Similar to Ciane's suggested challenge, the gist of the challenge is that it forces you to explore all of TS3. Choose your leading actress or actor wisely. You will get to know them well.
I need to try this out, i havn't been on the forums for ages, so i thought i would. I have the Desperate Times challenge here (just put the https in front, it won't let me post links :'( )
I can't post working links yet, as I am a new member but I have created a challenge that I am currently play-testing called The Sims 3 Four Seasons Challenge.
