The Go-to Expansion pack, Stuff pack, or Store Set Ideas thread!!!

Anyone can use this thread to share their ideas on new stuff that can be added to the game!

I'll Start things off with my idea for an expansion pack. "SIms 3 Playtime". Unlike ambitions, which was centered more around careers, this one will be solely focused on the Sims enjoying themselves.

- I suppose we could add a "Circus" Career option, and have a Circus Tent Rabbit hole to either go to work in, or see a show. There could even be two possible endings to the circus career. "Ringmaster" or "Star Acrobat". The former being more charisma-driven and the latter being more body skill driven. Here are some more ideas for it:
-Return of Karaoke Machines, with Singing being a new skill.
-The return of "magic" though, it's not the same Harry Potter magic from the previous games. It's based solely on optical illusions and slight of hand to entertain people. To become a better magician, improve your Handiness skill.
-New Card Game tables. One for Children and one for Adults. The one for Kids is more based off of trading card games like Pokemon or Yu-gi-oh (It could be called "So-la-bim" or something similar) While the Adult one is based more off of casino card games.
- New Skill Building devices which also improve fun. Jump Rope for Body, Puzzle Box for Handiness, a toy robot parrot to improve charisma, and much more I haven't thought of yet!
-A dress-up box where your sim can pick a variety of fun outfits from Hula Girl to superhero to fop. Or any combination!
-New recipes. Buttered Popcorn, Soft Pretzels, Corn dogs, brownies, and even Chili cheese fries.
-New Traits. Stern (Tries to keep other sims around them from having fun), Cultured (Will get more fun from Books, shows and art than other people), Whoop-de-do (When this sim has fun, they have SO MUCH FUN it frankly scares other sims) Born Magician (people are more entertained by their magic tricks, though this could be a lifetime reward as well) Doesn't like surprises (Hates magic, and gets double negative moodlet from unexpected events, good or bad) Loves Surprises (The exact opposite of the last trait) and Glutton (If not given anything else to do, the sim will be compelled to eat, even if stuffed)
-Return of the seasons, but each "Season" only occurs on one group of four lots. If the sim likes to wander around town, they could experience all four seasons in one day! (each season is randomly assigned to all community lots. Residential lots are set at Springtime, but can be changed using the mailbox.) Similarly, Season-based activities will be available to do. Jump in a leaf pile, play in the snow, Sunbathe, or simply frolic.

Now feel free to comment, or add your own ideas!

I like all of this except the last seasons thing.

I personally think that if they make seasons, they need to have the WHOLE neighborhood have one season at a time, and not random seasons in random lots- seems a bit patchy to me. And adds less of a 'realistic' quality that they're aiming towards. That, and think of all the bugs that'd come with it. x.x

Everything else is brilliant though. =3

My personal ideas are, for traits at least, I'd really like to see a 'Compromise' trait, for like, compromising with friends- like the glue in the friendship, setting arguements, etc. 'Passive' trait and uh... 'Happy-go-lucky' trait, where the sims happy nearly ALL the time, unless something terrible happens like a death. xD Those are the only things I can think of at this moment, though.

I have been playing Farm Simulator 2011 and I think that EA would make a great hit if they came up with and expansion pack "The Sims 3 Farm Life" where sims could have a "farmer" or "rancher" career and go through all the motions of running and growing a farm or ranch, including driving the appropriate vehicles for plowing, cultivating, fertilizing, harvesting, and transporting.

The farmers and their helper would plow the fields, fertilize them and harvest them. They can store the harvest in silos and sell them when prices are up or the demand for a specific product is high. They can also raise cattle, chickens, pigs, etc. and sell the milk, eggs, etc., at the local market or set up a farmers market in town (no rabbitholes!!!).

The farmer or rancher starts up with the bare minimum and as he or she increases his or her farming skills, the revenue increases for the farmer to buy more animals and vehicles and even set up shop in the farmers' market in town. If sheep are available, the farmer can have a sheepdog to help herding the sheep. The local sheerer will take care of the sheep sheer for a fee or the farmer can learn the skill (or one or more of his/her laborers).

As the farm and skills grow, the farmer can begin to offer by-products like butter, cheese, baked goods (from the wheat and corn he grows), supply other vendors (like the grocery store) and even teach farming skills in-house to those sims interested in starting their own farm (like those sims with a green thumb). Horses can also be added to make farm life more fun and set up a kiddie horse pen for kids to go and learn how to ride horses and even take care of them after school or on weekends. Sims can milk the cows, process the manure for organic fertilizer, and so much more.

There are great basic farm games where EA can get some cool ideas on how to do this and given that there are many Sims 3 fans asking for animals and even the capability to have a full-fledged farm for The Sims 3, EA would make an even greater kill with such an expansion than they have with Late Night and expect to have with Medieval (which they seem to have gotten the idea from modthesims.info challenge contest).

So, EA, are you ready and able to take this challenge? Or, shall we start a challenge contest at modthesims.info for you to pay attention and just do it?

This will satisfy the requests for pets and farm for the Sims 3. Let's do it!
