Algorithm for billing system in the game?

I'm curious about the algorithm for bills that come in the mail on the sims 3...Does it involved payment for electricity, insurance, tv, internet, phone, water, sewage? or am I being too complex with all that since some are optional? I'm wondering because every time I buy more and more stuff, or make my house larger, or add something to the land like flora. So yea just curious on how that works since it really goes up, and it's terrible if you don't have a good job haha.

It depends on the overall value of your house. The more its worth, the higher your bills will be.

I wish it was based off more than just the value. It would be pretty sweet if you started out with no money and had to take out a loan to buy your first house then add in utilities, insurance, cable/internet/phone bills. I wished it was that way but sadly not.
