My apartments follow the same basic concept , but include a little CFE and Moo. I use Constrainfloorelevation false to get the height and moveobjects on to place the elevators.
When looking at the building I would recommend turning on testingCheatsEnabled true ,restrictbuildbuyinbuildings false and buydebug on.
These three cheats will allow you to see were I have place all of the little orbs.
I should also point out that there are public room orbs in all of the elevator shafts.

I understand how to build basic apartments but I didn't realise we could use the evelators to make floors playable.
I downloaded it, and then when i install it, it says "installation failed, please make sure your game has the latest software updates" and my game does have all the software updates... So idk what else I could doo.

That's not good at all. Could you please download the file below and see if it works? This is a testing version from last week.
I was going to try and install the file to let you know whether or not it could be done and beta test it but there is too much cc attached to the world. Pic from Custard below.
I didn't even attempt to clean it with Custard because I saw a window and door among the cc. I felt that could mean I could end up with buildings that were glitched and not work properly.
I would be happy to beta test for you if the cc is removed.

Thanks for noticeing that the file contained CC. No CC was actually used to build anything in this world. The CC showing on that list simply attached itself to the disko world file.
So i tried to download the no cc link. It finished downloading, but my winzip thing never popped up for it to finish downloading, and instead the sims 3 launcher popped up, so i went to the downloads and the world wasnt even there for me to install.. I am not sure what else to do? Sorry, I feel like I am always asking you for help haha.

With this one your should not looking for a rar file. Instead, you should be looking a sims 3 pack file. I didn't compress this one into a rar file format because I was feeling lazy the day I uploaded this . If you completed the installation with the sims 3 pack file the world should be in your game . If this is not the case you probably redownload it and do that. Don't feel bad about asking me for help.
I tried again, and it is just doing the same thing, opening my game launcher , i look in the download part of the launcher and the world isnt in there..

If its your world or my launcher because I have to many simpacks installed (<--- happens a lot) I can't say. I am going to try to install another world and see if I still have to problem.
*edit* I can install other worlds just fine, even big ones.

I'm happy to hear that you got it to work. Be aware there are still issues with game play - mainly freezing up. I am continuing to work on the routing to try to fix these problems.
