MAJOR PROBLEM!!!

can someone help? I have a HUGE problem!! This morning, i tried to play the sims 3, but it said that in order to play, I needed to have the sims 3 base game. WHICH I DO!!! I have all expansions and stuff packs. I un-installed every game and kept all my save data. I re-installed the sims 3 and the sims 3 world adventures. I put in the disk to install ambitions next but I got the "you need to install the sims 3 base game!!!" Does anyone know whats wrong with it or how to fix it???
