How to use back up files????

I backed up my sims files like the registry file the Sims 3 file and the High End Loft and World Adventure expansions packs. I just reinstalled the game and expansions packs but how do I get my characters, towns, installed content and everything off my saved files and onto the newly reinstalled game?
