Minikin Metropolis: A new world by Mom of MomSonSimFun!

Minikin Metropolis is a small island world with a lot of charm. The downtown square is a good place to meet other Sims as many of the community lots are combined into one. The police station and criminal warehouse are joined to make the "Crime and Punishment" lot. There are a lot of charming houses and a few hilly roads. All of the houses were made by me and are all fully furnished. I have corrected all glitches in this town; however, I have not been able to upload the updated world. Minikin is still a fun world to play in. There are a few things you will need to do in edit town mode: (1) Remove some of the fence behind the diner. Otherwise, the goofy Sims get stuck when they leave work. (2) Remove some of the fence behind Crime and Punishment (for the same reason as the diner). (3) Some of the homes will need a few plants removed along the walkways leading to their front doors. Once we are able to use Create-A-World again, I will definitely upload my latest version of Minikin. Until then, I hope you enjoy playing in my world using the few tweaks I have mentioned here.

You're right WackieAttackie. . . Only WA needed. I built this world before Ambitions came out. I will be making corrected lots and adding them to the exchange, so you can swap them out for the buggy ones in Minikin. I'm glad you like the world.

This is such an Impressive little island. I played tonight and everything just blew me away. I love how you placed the foliage around the lots to truly make it look seamless. The Police/Criminal bldg combo is a brilliant, and humorous, solution to the space restrictions.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I had a lot of fun making Minikin. I only wish CAW was working again so I could upload the flawless version. The sad thing is, I fixed all the little glitches before uploading the first time; but I inadvertently uploaded the less-than-perfect version. :oops: There had been such a long time when worlds couldn't be uploaded that when I saw they could, I rushed to get mine on and chose the wrong one. By the time I figured it out, we were back to worlds not uploading again. Bummer. Luckily the flaws are small . . . like Sims looking confused when you ask them to exit the house "Green Door Cutie". Until CAW works again, I'll upload corrected versions of lots like Green Door Cutie.

To anyone who hasn't downloaded Minikin Metropolis yet, don't let my chatter about glitches scare you away. They're all minor and easily fixable.

I've uploaded a corrected version of the lot "Green Door Cutie". It is in the exchange under "Green Door Cutie II". (See link below.) This lot is the one right next to "Crime and Punishment". In fact, in the little time I've played in Green Door to check for glitches, I find that Crime and Punishment may not have any glitches of its own. Now when playing in Green Door, the Sims no longer motion that they cannot leave the house or that they can't get to the criminal and/or police buildings. Download Green Door Cutie II. . . Go into edit town and bulldoze Green Door Cutie and replace it with this newer version.

Has anyone swapped out their Green Door Cutie lot for this latest version? If so, what are your thoughts on the new home? It's smaller than the original, but it runs without glitches. . . At least it has for me. How about You? Thanks!

Now that CAW is working again, I'm going to start working on my second world. Are simmers interested in another world of this size, or should I make a larger one? I have some ideas on the style of the town and hope it will be unique in some ways, but I can make it pretty much any size. Suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments everyone! My son should have Via Discovolo on the exchange within the week. . . hopefully. I'm furnishing a few last houses of his, and the town should be complete. It's been fun watching the world progress.
