It would be great if we could have turbans as accessories or as part of a hairstyle. From simple ones to the elaborate fancy ones that can have feathers and such. For Sims2 someone made some fantastic turbans.

Personally, I wouldn't want it to be crooked like the one in the picture. There were other pictures but I couldn't get direct links to them.

But then I lived in Singapore and there were quite a few people who wore turbans there.
Plus I want to be able to make Hadji Singh from the Real Adventures of Jonny Quest.
I'd also love to get those mankita (or whatever they are called)-- jewelry that attaches to the hair and hangs over the forehead on the women- in game.
I apparently can't say the word on this forum (it censors it) so I will say that his chest is anatomically correct rather than being like a ken doll and some uptight people had a fit about it so the creator had to blur it.
He's a male.
I don't think that was a turban, I think it was a towel, you know when women come out of the shower.
I really like anything that brings more culture to the Sims.
Awhile back there was a surge in prudishness that had things like that banned or censored. This forum automatically censors the word that describes what part of the chest is blurred.
The towel turbans would be cool to have in game. But it would be great to have the regular ones as well.
Oh, and the head jewel thing I described is apparently called maang tika.

>>> The Sims 3 Castaway/Stranded/Island/Lost <<<
We really need a Island/Desert expansion pack.
^_^
Turbans and the head jewellery, way more dimensions...think how many people wear turbans across the world. Hats should be an accesory.
And on turbans, what about bhurkas (sp)? They could be added, though they are an outfit rather than a hat...
If they did that western causains would have a huge fit. Even more huge than the correct chest.
Well, it wouldn't be just Caucasians that would object, and it wouldn't just be westerners. It might be mostly westerners, but as for race, you would be surprised at how many people of other races complain about such things. Caucasians do not have a monopoly on bigotry. I have found that it doesn't matter what race or religion someone is, ANYONE can be a racist/bigot.
Until I read another post about burqas it didn't occur to me that people might object to it. It saddens me how narrowminded some people can be. While I don't like oppression of women, I still see it as a fashion that even women who are not oppressed wear. It is a cultural thing. To be honest, I think fewer people would complain about it than you might think.
IIRC there were burqas in Sims2 (but they might have been custom content).
I wish I knew the proper spelling.. Is it bhurka? burkha? burka? or burqa? My internet is being incredibly slow right now, otherwise I would go look it up.
The bath turban
catlover, nice screenshots! I really do like that towel turban. I was researching and even found that someone made meshes of turbans for Neverwinter Nights 2. They are very nice turbans. I might ask the guy if we can borrow his meshes and textures for Sims3 (by "we" I mean asking if any sims3 custom content creators-- which doesn't include myself quite yet, but I'm working on it).
I really want the turbans so I can re-create some of the nice people I met when I was in Singapore. (Singapore is where I learned a lot about other cultures-- but I still have much to learn).

If I knew the BB code to resize the images, I would use it to make them fit.
At least this one is less controversial than the burqa one.
Anyone have pics of the types of turbans they would like to see (if they would like to see them in game)?
Edit: not trying to bump this time. The person who made the turban meshes for NeverWinterNights2 gave permission to use his meshes for Sims3. Now I just need to figure out how to extract the meshes from the .hak file and convert it to a format that can be modified in Milkshape and then converted to a format that will work in Sims3. Anyone know how to do that?
Edit
The link has been added to the store so EA will hopefully look and see how many people want them added. I would really like to see the bath turban next month.
Does anyone know if it is possible to resize pictures in a thread? I tried to use the BBcode for it and it wouldn't let me do it.
Here is an example (minus the [img]and [*/img] (no asterick ) that go on either side: http://llnw.thesims3.com/sims3_asset/sims3_asset/media/133/553/005/00/screenshot_original.jpg"height=450""width=600"[/img]
