I'm not sure if you have found this or not but for those who haven't there is a new cheat that comes with Ambitions. This cheat allows you to place foundation on top of houses, just like half-walls but this is way easier.

Cheat:

placeFriezes on/off

Then get out the foundation tool and use it like you would on the ground but on top of your building instead.

You may of seen houses in Twinbrook with half-walls between the roofs and walls well this is the cheat they used to make these, happy simming. ^-^

Example Pictures:

This is a pre-made house in Twinbrook, as you can see there is a bit between the building and the roof:

The first one is the normal floor foundation, the second is the foundation on the top of the building and the third is the foundation on top of the building with a roof:

No problems, I'm sure there would be other cheats too but I haven't really bothered to see if there is others.

Another cool cheat: 'discotags'. That's it. It pretty nifty, and can be turned off simply by typing it in the cheatbox again. No need to worry about typing on/off. Basically what it does it make all the map tags flash colors.

Yeah, I tried discotags the other day, it's so pointless but funny.

This cheat was included in the patch. I don't have the EP yet, due to lack of funds. But the cheat is still available to me because of the update. And, good news... brace yourselves...
This cheat allows L-Shaped stairs by creating a landing without any complicated tricks! I'm starting a new thread to talk about this application of the cheat. Here's a picture:

Wow thanks for telling. I was wondering in that town if they used CFE, that was always a pain in the neck to do. now its easy..

Thanks so much for this. It will help my future builds greatly. Of course, it makes all the CFE work I just did to my current modern build, a huge waste of time :D lol

    Love it!

    Thanks Purple Plumbob.

I've started doing more building now that my Caw is down. This will come in handy.

I've tried this out, and it's not quite as flexible as I had hoped (but still better for some things than CFE).

    - The height is non-standard. I tried stacking them, and having 3 stacked is just slightly higher than 1 wall height. This limits it a little.

    - This is not like the stages in Sims 2. You can't build it next to a wall :(

    - You can't build them on the ground; just use a foundation for that.

    - They behave like normal walls/levels, and so the maximum is 5 levels.

...and for those wondering what a "Frieze" is:

    :)

Thanks for the helpful info. This is just what I need for my house. Of course, I already used CFE to make half walls, but got some crazy warps that I dont like. This is perfect!
