Making a living as an artist - tougher than I realized.

I set my favorite Sim Sam Grant a challenge in his latest incarnation. This time, he is to only make money via painting or writing. No job, no collecting for cash, no fishing or gardening. Just art.

Unlike a legacy challenge, I did let him buy a house, with the limited cash a Sim has from CAS. He had to add a bed and an easel.

He's now half way through adulthood and his income is still not great. With his latest book being a hit, he makes 3,000 a week via royalties. But it has taken him so long to get to that point.

It's an interesting challenge, especially with a Sim who has no natural artistic traits. He did meet his 20 friend goal in life and so has purchased the reward that increases royalties. Good thing too, he has a new baby...

I liked the start. I take it that you have you used this sim more than one?

Yes, poor Sam has been murdered by a gold digger.
Been a nanny to triplets. Then had twins of his own.
Sam and the mad scientist
Then there is the still ongoing saga of Indiana Sam (redone for World Adventures)
This is the most recent story.

I love Sammy. He's a good Sim and truly willing to work very very hard to get on with life.
