They usually hatch when there's 3-4 days left which is why I'm so paranoid about my vamp egg.
Edit: It's typical really. I use Incubate on another egg and then I get a vampire that I could actually do with incubating to hatch it quicker. Dangit.
Yeah. The egg is technically dead so it smells rotton. The other dragons in your scroll may get repulsed by the smell and kick it out.
Vampires are extremely hard to get. I've been trying for the past week, constantly F5-ing the page and whilst they do appear fairly regularly you have to be EXTREMELY quick on the mark because they go fast (people share the links with others before it gets dropped or some people just see it before others). I have a fast internet connection and I must've missed 25-30 of 'em.
If you want one I suggest hovering your cursor over the first egg. Generally when people drop these it's because they're close to death or they were repulsed so it's rare to find one on 7 days.
Edit: Once you have a vampire you can bite other eggs which either kills them or turns them into Vampire eggs. It annoys me when I see people with 5 or so vampires who also have an egg because I didn't have any vampires and I was trying extremely hard to get one.
If you want a Vampire lurk in the abandoned eggs section. They look like the egg at the end and usually have 6 or less days on them. I think it's selfish of those people who have loads of vampires yet hoarde the eggs so I wanna' help out.
Watch the traffic too. I found that when there was about 170+ people there I had absolutely no chance. I snagged my vampire when there was about 140-something people there.
Thanks for the tip! i unfortunatly have too many hatchlings atm and most of them are sick ): so I'm taking care of them and such I hate it when my dragons die ): one did already TT^TT

Less viewers = less competition IMO.
