      I have two EADMs.

      EADM and EADM UI. Which should I uninstall, or should I uninstall both?

      Hi,

      Qtcore4.dll is in the EADM file and all, but when I open the Sims to press the play button, it freezes a little bit after it says it needs to update the game.

      Any help would be great!

      The error message doesn't show up anymore! Woohoo, thank you so much. I was going crazy and thought I was never going to be able to play Sims again.

      This error happens to me but the download still goes though and everything is fine, I've never had any problems.

      a few mins after clicking that link(I didn't even click anything in side it) my computer started downloading the patch, so thanks for the magic link :)

      well, i did everything you said but it won't work. When I press to download the new update, the eadm closes and the stupid chart appears.

      Any suggestions?

      BDCG - You need to uninstall EA download manager with the windows control panel. I have updated the link in the main post.

      This will get you the EA DLM installer.
      click here to start download - http://support.ea.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/51/kw/download manager
      Just download and run and the EA DLM should start to install. hth

      This is an old post and Adode AIR is required and that needs to update to.

      Thanks! it actually worked! i have the download manager, but now my game says its missing some files. does that mean my disk is to scratched to read them? and will it do anything to the intallation progress?

      Did you get any errors during the install? As this is a new problem you'll probably get more help starting a new thread instead of waiting on this old and non-related thread.

      K I tried this but there were a few problems that occured
      1. I don't even see a EADM in my control panel to uninstall ...but yet when I re-download the EA dl manager, it says that I already have a version, do I want to re-install...soo i click yes
      but while I'm re-installing is when my second problem arises...here goes...
      2. Mid re-install i get a warning saying this "Error opening file for writing:
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\ EADM\EADMUI\CmdPortalClient.dll
      Click Abort to stop the installation, Retry to try again, or Ignore to skip this file."
      I ignored the problem and went on ...and it downloaded the manager anyway but I don't think this solved the issue
      So please if someones able to help me...i'll be forever grateful (now thats not much but its something right =D)

      Thanks sosososooso much! I needed to update my game for the longest time, and that stupid error code kept coming up! but this fixed it! thanks again! :D
