Has anyone else played more than one household yet?

I first played Agnes Crumplebottom then went to the Landgraabs. Once there it was almost noon and Nancy Langraab was was upset cause she was missing work. Just wondering if the game chooses a sim in the household to be at home when you change lots?

If so gonna be hard keeping track of all the work schedules to make sure none of my sims miss work when switching households
