oops I delete my family

I decided to make another neighborhood and I oopsed and deleted the family that I had been playing with since I got the game on June 2, They had a beautiful home that I had spent a whole day on, they were skilled and working hard on their jobs and family, I had gotten them married and they had 5 kids and now they are all gone!!!
Please Please PLEASE FIX THIS, why not make it to where the saved games are saved by last name and not the name of the neighborhood by default!
Still sad but I will make an even better family this time with an even better house so not too big of a deal!
