Swimming Pool tool crash and no fishing sim?

Hi, umm I have been trying to see if these topics are elsewhere but I cannot find anything recent. what is happening is that when I try to use the swimming pool tool in "Build" my game shuts down. This is a new problem that I have never had before. Also my Sim is no longer able to fish as hard as she tries and how ever hard I try to make her - no way! Can anyone help please :?: I have not as yet installed new patch but I do have CC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is in the wrong spot as I am rather new to forums.
