can't move the screen in the game?

I haven't played the Sims 2 for a while but i'm pretty sure that if you put the mouse in the corner of the screen, to the right, to the left etc the screen would move in that direction. Now in the the Sims 3 I have to use the zoom in and out and rotate to go somewhere. This is very frustrating because sometimes my sim isn't there to double click on to get into the area, so i'm just looking from afar.

Is anyone else having this problem? Or maybe it isn't even a problem... I've gotten used to it, but it would still be much easier if it were the way i remembered it in the Sims 2.

I had this problem too. Go to the options section, and there should be a thing to check called something like "screen scrolling" That'll fix it.

I figured it out by using the arrow keys. That works too.

Edge Scrolling is what it is called, it's turned off by default but I prefer it as well.

If you right click your mouse it'll extend the mouse into 4 directions and you can move whichever way you like as well.
